It is true that not every party plan company is on compare extra income site.
I am a Scentsy consultant and they are not yet listed. With regards to being upfront to people looking to join a company I agree that the full info and costs needed to run are made transparent.
We tell people who ask for info upfront, nothing is 'forgotten' so they then can go and make the best decision for them and what they want.0 -
Most "known" party plan jobs are very saturated in the market now, especially things like Ann Summers, Avon etc...
I'm waiting to hear back about becomming an Ann Summers rep, there will be loads in my area already however I think I can compete with this because of the ideas and plans i've started on whilst looking into becoming a rep.
You've got to weigh up, how much effort you can put in, How passionate you are about the products & do you have that entrepreneurial streak to get you above the rest?
If you think you've got and a brand people trust then go for it
I'm interested to know now how the starter kits are going to change for Ann Summers after undercover boss. Personally I think the best idea would be for them to let you choose the selection upto a certian amount yourself and rent it that way.0 -
tbh I think when choosing a company to start up with you need to think of what you like. I was a body shop freak and so decided to join with body shop at home and its been great. I have done usborne books and Avon in the past but these areas are way to saturated where I am. As others have said make sure you have a good look around and ask as many questions as possible oh and dont sign up with the first person you come across unless you hit it off straight away.0

Couldn't agree more years ago I did tupperware because I loved the product and had absolute confidence in the quality and thats why I now do Phoenix. If you have that assurance, it comes through in your relationship with your customers.
Make sure your sponsor is willing to discuss the downs as well as the highs, cause there are some, nothing is perfect.
Be realistic about what you think you can reasonably earn, your not going to make a fortune with little effort, no matter what anyone tells you.0 -

Great advice, after developing an allergy which caused me health issues i started looking into what could have caused it rather than just taking medication when needed and came to the conclusion it was those air freshners that spray every 30 mins which then led me to look at chemicals in all our household products and toiletries and make up. When i found Wikaniko a way of helping me reduce the chemicals in our home, helping the Planet and also showing people a way of earning an extra income it ticked all my boxes and i joined. If you are passionate about the products it becomes part of your everyday life and i love sharing the products with people in my local area.
So agree about finding a person you feel comfortable to join with and someone who is interested in what you want from the Business. Its surprising how many people don't bother asking what the prospect wants from the Business
DebbieWe love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!0 -
