Hello - not read the entire thread so apologies if this has been discussed previously.
I have been self employed for 2 years and have recently become a Scentsy consultant (also employed)
I think with any type of multi level marketing/network marketing it is vital to really love the product (which I do) but also to go into the venture with a "business " head on. Having a supportive sponsor / mentor is vital as whilst it is great fun selling the products at parties, fairs etc you must also know how to deal with the paperwork - I feel that is where your sponsor/upline should earn their money by helping you get the business side organised. I get the impression (maybe wrong) that sometimes the encouragement is there to join up but then you can be left floundering and perhaps pick up bad habits eg what can be claimed as a business expense etc.
I don't think being geograhically close is the be all and end all as long as the information you get is accurate and timely.
Good luck everyone and let's get busy in the run up to Christmas!Joined Olympic Challenge January 1st 2010 £10,000

I have done usborne books and Avon in the past but these areas are way to saturated where I am. As others have said make sure you have a good look around and ask as many questions as possible oh and dont sign up with the first person you come across unless you hit it off straight away.
Couldn't agree more with you. If you pick a product you love then you are more likely to enjoy what you are doing and make a success of it. I tried Avon as well, but also found the market was very saturated. I signed up with Scentsy as I love candles and such products, I haven't looked back and everytime I get a delivery it's like xmas sorting out all the beautiful products people have ordered x:dance: :dance:0 -

Hi All
After having a good browse of this thread I decided to join up. I don't have an up line as such so really need some accountability buddies to keep me on track0 -
I currently work for VIE at Home, which now also includes Pierre Lang Jewellery, Sprulina Weightloss Programme and Bluebox personalised perfumes. I am considering joining Bluebella, as my ex VIE manager and her manager have both gone over to them, but they want me to have 4 parties booked within the next few weeks before I can sign up, and no one wants to book parties this side of xmas! I have seen a few posts about Stringfellows, but can't find much info on the net. Does anyone know if they are still going? Also if anyone has any experience of Bluebella it would be very much appriceitated! I'm not planning on leaving VIE, but really could do with another business as I am desperately in need of some extra money!0

Hi mandij87
I have been involved with both stringfellows and Blue Bella in the past
Unfortunately stringfellows stopped running a couple of years ago - they were great at the time and I really enjoyed my time with them
Blue Bella are going stronger and stronger - they sell beautiful lingerie and reward both their customers and consultants very wellEmily, the owner, is a very warm and genuine person
Give them a ring, have a chat and see how you feel
Good luck,
Jenny xEverything happens for a reason0
