Hi Donna :D Thank you xx I'm open about my mental health problems to a degree as I'd like to play my part in breaking through the stigma and stereotyping - but at the same time I don't want to be defined by them and there's an element of self-preservation in the mix too. Complex beings aren't we?

    Right - pots!!!! :D

    Rxx

    roudtuit - i completely agree x

    Congratulations Mrs MP!

Swept outside, started operation laundry, bathroom dailies (litter tray, floor sweeping, water bowl), recycling out, DW emptied and stacked, a few bits put away in LR and copying done.
DS1 has hoovered downstairs and is now in town with his little brother, to sort out repair for said brother's phone. Got DS2 out of the house and saves me a job.

Bath and planning next, and I may change 2 of the beds.

Huge vat of Delia's curried parsnip soup made so that's my lunches sorted for the next week. WM x 1, and kitchen cleared of gibble. I've also, rather randomly but it made sense to me, sorted five box files in my office and realised the contents can now be safely stowed in the attic where they belong, rather than cluttering up my RoD, and made a decision about something that's been sitting there, like an angry toad, waiting for me to decide what to do with it. Decision made, excess bit that's particularly annoying binned and the rest is also going straight up to the attic for when I need it. Good.
    Better is good enough.

I agree. Self-preservation is vital. I’m much more honest on here than I ever am in real life. I’d find it very difficult to get jobs if I didn’t keep stum.

I’ve been sorting photos for the past couple of days - my sister is putting together a photo board for the funeral. It’s next Friday. I’m dreading it.

My sister is doing too much because she feels guilty, and I can’t help because I didn’t really know her as an adult. Just as an adorable child.

It sounds like Greyfriars Kirk is going to be rammed though. For one so young she seems to have touched a huge number of lives through her work on mental health. Her father who is a journalist wrote an obituary for the Guardian. I hadn’t appreciated how much she had achieved.

Right. Scanning done. I’m off to do some cooking. I’ll be away to Edinburgh for a few days next week so DH will need feeding.

    Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o
  • Got a letter from the bank confirming that they have refunded all the fraudulent purchases made with my bank card. I'm pleasantly surprised that, other than the seemingly interminable telephone calls with people who had incredibly strong accents, it went so smoothly.

Himself has done some washing up (:j:) and is now sitting at his laptop again. so much for actually going out and doing something during the day :(

I need to make an appointment at a dentist. One of my back teeth felt as though it shifted today.

Time to wave bye-bye to the money that was refunded, I suspect. :(:(:(
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • Pigpen you made me laugh because I often get the munchies and eat something healthy which wierdly makes me feel even hungrier.

So, weeks shopping done (carefully sticking to the list), kitchen tidied, everyone fed bacon butties, a jog down the lane with the (reluctant) dog. One GF taken home and a bit of advance planning done for next week.

Freezing out there. Fed up with it. Agreed to get DS1 from a party tonight, hope its not going to be too late.

Need to get some tea organised before I am tempted to hit the biscuit tin.

Oh LameWolf you poor thing - that's horrible and understandable, I don't know much about Lupus - is the nausea a day to day symptom?
It's very variable - and completely unpredictable. Sometimes I'll go a month without getting a nauseous day, other times, like lately, I seem to spend about 2 days out of the week tied to the Big White Telephone. :( Unfortunately I think it may be in some ways related to sleep deprivation, which I definitely have; am managing on less than 2 hrs a night currently, as the moment the light goes out, all the horrible worries come out to play, and go round and round dancing a reel in my head, and I simply can't switch them off. :( Oh well, it could be worse.....

Cleaned my oven door (both sides, thanks LW), the bottom liner, and the shelves are soaking
    Yay!! *High Five*:T

Flying today has mainly involved the WM. One a load of my clothes, then the bedlinen.
Then we took Sasha for her walk - the upshot of which was her coat (as in pink anorak-style doggy-coat) was all covered in mud underneath where she'd splashed it up with her great big feet, soaking wet on top cos it was raining, and of course her towel got all wet and muddy doing her paws. So coat and towel got chucked in the WM.
Towel got thrown in for drying with the bedinen, and coat is nearly dry just by hanging it up in the bathroom, currently draped across the hall radiator to finish off.
Hoping to goodness it's not this wet tomorrow!! :D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
