Busy busy day, just settling down with a brew now. Decluttered some more carp to the CS, put my big girl pants on for a conversation with someone :T and generally kept on top of things.
Also tidied DS bedroom - no mean feat when all of the available carpet space was covered in Lego!
YL - I was really chuffed to read your DH has cleaned the house. Maybe the message has sunk in? Long may it continue xxMFW

Evening all!
I have a fully functioning pantry - complete with fridge and upright freezer, shelves, automatic PIR lighting, panelled entrance and new oak door. I've cleaned and scrubbed and stacked and sorted and planned and ordered and....:T
Bit tired now.
Will catch up on the thread with my glass of wine...0 -
You're making me jealous, Dizzy! When I was a child and living out in the country, we had a wonderful walk-in larder. I remember rows and rows of jars of jam and marmalade and Kilnered fruit and veg, and I've still got the old crock pot which we used for preserving eggs in waterglass.
Having spent most of the morning preparing for this afternoon's meeting, and most of this afternoon chairing it, then writing up the Minutes, I am so tired I could happily go to bed right away. However, I will go and be sociable to DH first and watch some mind-numbing TV.
DGD1+2 are coming to stay overnight with us for the first time ever on SaturdayIt will ruin my work plans, but who cares?
G'night all x0 -
Thanks atb. We had words at Christmas so he has been helping more. If past experience is anything to go by this will last a month or so then gradually things will slide again - but maybe I am being unfair. I have told him how grateful I am though.
roundtuit I love your Tigger/Eyeore description. I am pretty much Tigger 90% of the time which is really not healthy.
Checked finances. Not good. We can afford to eat/pay the bills for the rest of the month though so we will survive. Just praying for no more unexpected bills!
Off to pack my gym bag, make lunches, tidy kitchen and write a shopping list for tomorrow.0 -

I have the same problem with my DH. Other things always become more important.
I love that Tigger/Eeyore image too. Fits me to a T. Last Eeyore phase I put on 2 stone in 2 months! Unfortunately the Tigger phases don’t seem to last nearly as long.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Piggers, you was asking about a sweetner without a horrible taste earlier on in the thread. For the last 10 years I've been having Canderel sweetners in my tea, only one but it's enough. I also will only drink coke, if I absolutely have to, that has aspartame in. I find anything that has saccharine in has this really horrible taste and puts me off drinking tea or anything.
I weighed up the pros and cons of aspartame after reading all the horrible stories about this but to tell you the truth if it was that or my diabetes getting worse I plumped for the sweetner anytime.
Hope this helps...Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Thank you Donna xx I've been asked in the past if I am bi-polar, but I've never been diagnosed with anything other than depression and anxiety. I've never been to see a doctor when I'm in Tigger mode - I just sort of accept that I'm a Tigger / Eeyore type of person. The sudden crash last week was very un-nerving but I'm determined to keep on with the slinky challenge. By the way, my name is Donna in the real world too
I've never looked at my bipolar episodes as being Tigger or Eeyore modes.. But I really do love that analogy roundtuit I've just called them manic..or black dog times
Think I may just change the names of them... although I may get a few weird looks from my therapy group if I suddenly say I'm having a Tigger moment...lolMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Evening everyone,
pigpen - I have Stevia or similar plant based sweetener on my cereal; the ingredients of Quorn products vary depending on whether you are using basics like the mince or pieces, or having meal-type things like the burgers pies, lasagne, etc. I eat a lot of it myself and have a variety of recipes if you are looking for anything in particular
Mrs MP - well done! Hope baby makes an appearance soon x
LW - I love Dublin; enjoy planning your trip x
I really need some motivation to get things done here - I've been home for 4 weeks and I don't seem to have achieved much
Also managed to not put the bin bag out in time this morning as the bin lorry arrived over an hour earlier than it normally does
I have, however, been offered one day a week supply for the next 8 weeks which I've agreed to.
