My bonus has not been credited yet, a little disappointed seeing as everyone else appears to be getting them no hassle. Will be contacting them in the morning.

When did you place your initial buy order? As long as it was by 22nd you should be due the bonus, so making contact sounds like it is needed.

I placed the order on the 22nd itself. Kept a copy of the offer + my purchase history so it is clear I am due the bonus. Did get told by Orbis live chat I would have the bonus by today (Monday) and it's not there so will ask again in the morning.

When did you check your account? It may not show up until the close of business today.

I'm sure it will get sorted. You have met the necessary conditions and have a record (I assume) of assurances. There has probably been some oversight that will be easily resolved.

Best of luck, and let us know how you get on.
  • may i ask if there is any fees to deposit money and invest monthly?
secondly, any fees for selling out?

i checked the website and it says no to the above, but just want to make sure my understanding is correct.
    Aim to retire by 45.

The only fee they charge is an ongoing performance fee.

But even that comes from within the fund performance figures automatically, so no discrete charges to users

Although we shouldn't judge a fund manager on very short term performance, according to YouInvest data Orbis Equity normal units have a YTD return of 2.81% compared to VLS100 at 1.79%, Fundsmith at 0.61% or Fidelity World at 0.42% so there is something different going on inside the Orbis funds.
Now come on, Alex, you know better than that ;)
