I just realised it was half one and I was starving. I had a lie in as I was supposed to go into central London today and the person had to cancel because they were ill.
I had two toasted pitta breads and the last half of a tin of baked beans for brunch.
I fancy a takeaway today too.
I might go to the chip shop.:D0 -
@PN , Ice'es , Although its about 20 minutes away and I only went as I had some vouchers (as its up a steep hill away from everything else) the one I went to was a small/mini size one, well kind of. Point being I was pleasantly surprised at how much 'non frozen' things they actually kept in!
@Wednesday2000 Chipshop treat sounds like a plan, tis the weekend after all!, I'm still torn with our local one really its far too hit/miss. I may succumb to it and end up with an (overpriced) gravy mix tomorrow or something. Hmm.

Quite a lot of hotels do that October to March. They work out easier/cheaper than a regular house share.
When I move I'll be close to an Iceland, so I can try some of their food
That share scheme sounds ideal, in one way the delay in selling has worked to your advantage there
Icelnd I find is OK, mostly as you expect pre packed & ready meals, they do have offers, most of which I think you can ignore as unsuitable but you never know
I find YS in there are real reductions, not a notional 10p knocked off. If you do buy YS, make sure the YS sticker on top & visible to cashier, they don't cover the normal bar code:(
If you find it suits you the Bonus card is OK, no points but load £20 on & they chuck a quid in. No need to spend it all at once, just as needed, like a packet of biscuits for instanceEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Hope everyone is having a reasonable evening so far. Regarding foods, well whatever was ordered/delivered/cooked/served etc they enjoyed!
I just settled for something simple again quite happy with that, half a dozen new potato's boiled up, tiny blob of butter and a generous couple of spoonfuls of garden peas. Sadly the peas came from a tin rather than the frozen bag but you can't have everything I suppose.
Mind you, they were 3x£1 for Bat's so I can't grumble!0 -

Morning folks and another wet one overnight & still raining now
Welcome Pakhsh, hope you find something of use here
It was LO ham, eggs, chips & LO beans for last night's dinner, excellent nosh that just suited the day. If the weather stays as it is it may be rinse & repeat tonight, I'll wait & see
Usual porridge, with fresh chopped apple, I used the L's yoghurt I bought due to my HM fails:(
I've finished a fresh batch of yoghurt and sent for new starter just in case.
The problem may have been me freezing the starter, it's supposed to OK doing that but maybe there's a limit somewhere? Anyway, new lot on the way
I've put the YS loaf in fridge as I'm overloaded with YS rolls at the moment, mould prevention strategy, and I prefer rolls these days. The YS ones I have are seeded ones, sort of burger buns, should go well with cheese & HM chutney inside for lunchpakhsh.radin wrote: »How can I make a delicious homemade pancake?
No doubt folk who are more skilled than I am will give blow by blow accounts and tips, but I've found Delia never fails.

I did go and get a nuker burger and ate it. And a bag of jelly babies and ate those.
As the day went on I told myself I could choose what to eat, but nothing I could think of was exciting enough to want it. Drove past the chippy and talked myself out of it due to the cars/queue. Ended up coming home without any food.
I thought I could always get something later on, but then the mother of all storms whipped up, so I was going nowhere.
Awake half the night listening to the storm ... and starving.
Still starving, but can't for the life of me decide what to get/from where.
LOADS more packing to sort/re-sort, then cleaning throughout. Making a single pile in one corner of everything that HAS to fit in the car tomorrow...
Over-whelmed, daunted, worried and all that..... I do need to work out what to eat at some point though. STARVING!0 -

It 'might' be me, but the second link I posted seems slightly easier ?Morning folks and another wet one overnight & still raining nowIt was LO ham, eggs, chips & LO beans for last night's dinner, excellent nosh that just suited the day. If the weather stays as it is it may be rinse & repeat tonight, I'll wait & seeI may of misunderstood and forgive me for asking but what is "LO" ? as in "LO Ham" / "LO Beans" ?

Have finally made my mincemeat, on the third attempt! The first time I forgot to buy the brandy and when I looked for the Demerara sugar which I was sure I had, there was none. The mixed fruit got eaten bit by bit with oatmeal and milk, and when I ran out of chocolate  as a sweet nibble with coffee. The second time I remembered the brandy and bought more fruit but forgot the sugar; finally I bought the sugar so thought I ought to get it mixed up quickly before various components were repurposed again! :rotfl:
B: porridge
MiddayHM tomato soup, baked trout with fennel, peas & carrots followed by either baked plums with cinnamon or stewed gooseberries with ginger
T/Supper: cottage cheese with celery“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

I was good this morning, ate a healthy antioxidant muesli soaked in milk overnight, not much so a bit of sd later with marmite peanut butter. Not buying that again, would rather have just peanut butter. Had a real coffee and got stuck into some prep for the freezer, to make life easier
7 small apple and blackcurrant crumbles made and 4 layered veggie meals, aubergine, turnip, courgette, tomato and goats cheese, all the veg part pre-cooked on a big flat griddle. Now about to cook a large luscious waitrose herby lamb fillet, to eat with steamed romanesco caulie and a few french beans. The remaining are washed and in vac jars, again to make it less of a chance of cba. I almost forgot the mashed with butter, celeriac0
