    Good morning everyone,

It's a lovely morning here, sunny but with a refreshing breeze. Ideal weather for gardening but I'm stuck in waiting for the guy to arrive to service my boiler. Forecast looks good all day so hopefully will get out later on.
Salad sarnie or wrap for lunch today and lentil & chickpea moussaka from the freezer for dinner.

I am so grateful to have walking distance shops, been there this morning and the area is full of like-minded people, no-one scurrying here and there. Love it

Had protibix early with milk. Apple later. Just had cold nut roast with sauerhraut and a tomato. I bought some chump chops and will freeze 3. Lunch will be the works, yummy, caulie, carrot, LO jersey royals, LO pak choi, gravy and mint sauce. I bought a bit od d cream and for my treat today will have a meringue with blackcurrant jam and a dollop of whipped cream

I don`t eat much meat but it is expensive when you buy it, lamb chump chops, much more expensive than some beans or nuts

Oh yes, the best coffee in ages, only instant but with some top of the whole cream unpasteurised milk. Gorgeous, heated the water to 85 so no skin on top

Faffing now, don`t want to make anything to add to freezer bulk, oh ok I could make individual rhubarb crumbles as I have a visitor for 2 nights next week.

Into town after porridge breakfast, lovely sunny & warm day.
Main errand was collect my new specs, but into Iceland for more chips + B'eye !!!!!! on offer, I'm out of !!!!!! so two packs, they are "free range " Alaskan pollack so sort of ethical at the price

Not so ethical was the YS 6 pack of farmed salmon fillets from Asda, but for me YS trumps ethics at times, nearly £3 off.:money:
Also topped up with tartare sauce since L's stopped stocking it. Eagle MSE eyes fully peeled at CO, kerching, rung up at 50p when shelf edge was 43p
I was congratulating myself as I trundled to CS for refund & £2 mis-priced voucher.:j

I got the refund but the swines no longer do the £2 wrong price vouchers, no doubt gone same way as lots of other things, like price match or double money off:(

Had time so into £land for replacement of saucepan wot I burnt:o

Back home, realised I'd forgotten cream / ice cream to have with my HG strawberries tonight. It'll have to HM yoghurt instead

Lunch was cheese & cuc sarnie, using fresh HM loaf
Dinner will be one of the YS salmon fillets + salad

One rump steak defrosting for tomorrow

I made myself and dd toast, bacon and egg for breakfast and beef stew for lunch. I still had a lot of stew left so suggested DD take it home for tonight for her and her DH.

Tomorrow's lunch should be a pork chop with peas and actifry wedges and maybe toast and tea for breakfast.

    Good evening everyone,

Lucky you pattypan with lamb chops, I do love them but they are a treat as expensive for decent ones.:D
Central heating has been serviced but has ended up costing me money, not on the CH but as I was killing time waiting for the engineer, I paid a quick visit to the sea salt site (and a few others:o).

It's been a beautiful day here, warm & sunny but not too hot, very pleasant to sit out in with a cuppa & my book.:) I wasn't a complete lazy bones as I did pot the courgettes into their final pots, my first courgette will be ready in the next week I reckon.:)
Just some side veg to cook to have with the lentil & chickpea moussaka for dinner, probably green beans & spinach. If I've room afterwards there is a tiny sliver of cake in the fridge spare from when I portioned it for the freezer last night for a pud, otherwise it will be getting popped in the freezer too.;)
Grocery order sorted out for Friday, I seem to need quite a lot which isn't surprising as I only got a few bits last weekend that my son picked up for us so it will be a fortnight since I got a proper shop and that wasn't huge (had to buy some wine to make up the minimum basket charge;)). A pack of dark choc ices may have fallen in the trolley.......:rotfl::rotfl:

My lamb chop was delicious, slowly savoured and nibbled, I nearly dropped when he said the price and I had to give him most contents of my purse, It was a very good chop, lean and luscious. I carefully vac packed the other 3, they will keep ages in the freezer. My aim today and tomorrow is to actually end up with empty veg drawers (2) in the fridge and ooh I just remembered that I have a water melon on a shelf, yummy cold in the heat. Lunch will be a veg medley with protein of some sort and maybe a bit of brown rice if I cba. I decided to just have one rice in, short grain brown. It takes 50 minutes to cook, will cook a full cup, then spread out, freeze flat, break up and bag for the freezer
