God, I feel much better, I rinsed my head/hair/back of neck in cold water, put on warm socks, took medication and feel back to normal again.:)
I was really hungry, I've eaten loads of things tonight.:oflubberyzing wrote: »
I'm now suffering with a cold, which isn't much fun... I've only just gotten over that horrible conjunctivitis, and then a sore throat started to setting in about 48 hours ago, which is always the precursor to a cold for me...
It feels like a bit of a bad run, health-wise!
Sorry, I missed this. Hope you feel better soon.xxGood evening everyone,
Wednesday - sounds as though your vertigo may be part of the migraine cycle and fasting/monthlies could be a migraine trigger for you. Definitely worth a chat with your GP? Hope it settles quickly. <hugs>
I kept getting migraines three days after my period ended and my GP said it was low iron so I did start taking iron tablets and then forgot to replace them when they ran out.
I'm definitely going to start taking them again.:D

I had a dream that I was eating a banana fritter the other night.:rotfl:0 -

It must be to do with my iron being low... I looked online and it is.
I have ordered an iron supplement to arrive tomorrow....
As I was reading, I was envisaging what you were saying... and it was only when I got THIS far I realised you weren't talking about ironing
In my mind I was thinking it through, that maybe the way you were standing while ironing shirts, was giving you that

It annoys me that you can do it accidentally, while I've been trying to will myself to do just that for about 4-5 weeks. I just can't quite get there.... I think of it, want it, dream of it, then always justify to myself why I should be eating what I've already got.
I have Chinese envy now.
As I'll be moving at some point I'm currently trying to eat what I've got... certainly the freezer stuff and then it'll be packets.
I've mostly been eating beans on toast and scrambled eggs the last few days (4x as a main meal I think). Yesterday I used up an opened packet of stuffing and had some instant mash with baked beans and peas. Yes, that was it: mash, stuffing, beans and peasI CBA to think further than that, it was "food".

I only had the grilled pork chop last night, didn't even fancy frozen chips with it. Obviously not quite over the operation, same as when child is really ill they don't even want a sweet.
I did have two finger kit kat later though:D
Fire Fox, the accidental Chinese was my fault, MFO beef in black been sauce + egg flied lice this week:)Wednesday2000 wrote: »I had a dream that I was eating a banana fritter the other night.:rotfl:
Risked my first shower post op this morning, very welcome, not sure I'd risk a bath but I only have a walk in shower anyway
Porridge for breakfast
The meat basher arrived OK and had it's first outing this morning on a lump of rump I'd defrosted overnight.
The biffed steak is now marinating in fridge for tonight's dinner
Clouds have rolled in, with maybe rain later. My beans may have yet another day in their pot
PN, ideal food when CFO & CBA, it fills a hole and empties a packet or two

For me, if I've got a cold/fluey thing, or if I'm on antibiotics (which is very rare, thankfully!), then all I want is a meat-feast style pizza! I never eat them any other time, but I think there must be something about the precise combination of carbs, fats and protein that those sorts of pizzas provide.
When I'm sick with the tummy bug variety (also mercifully rare!), the ONLY thing that satisfies me is orange juice! It seems counterproductive to throw that acid at an upset stomach, but it's the only thing I want, and I crave it sooooo intensely, that I have to keep a carton of long-life juice in the cupboard, just on the off chance of a tummy bug! :rotfl:
Thanks you for the well wishes for my cold... Unfortunately, it's gotten worse overnight. I've used my Sudafed nasal spray, so I can still breathe through my nose, but I'm still very runny/sneezy. Still, I will dose up with pills/potions before tonight, and power through. These get-togethers are hard to schedule for everyone, and only happen 3 or 4 times a year, so I don't want to miss out.Because it's fun to have money!

I feel better today, but still dizzy, bit wonky getting out of the bath just now!
I forgot I bought a few freezer things. I bought frozen mango as I heard it makes a really creamy smoothie. I will have it with banana and soya milk for breakfast.
I am having a beanburger for lunch in a pitta with salad. I roasted the rest of the chickpeas last night with broccoli and peppers in curry spices so might have that on the side.PasturesNew wrote: »As I was reading, I was envisaging what you were saying... and it was only when I got THIS far I realised you weren't talking about ironing

Good morning everyone,
Glad you are feeling a bit better today Wednesday, shame your cold has developed flubberyzing hopefully a good dose of spices tonight will clear your tubes <hugs>
Mash, stuffing, beans and peas sounds pretty good to me PN:)
Inspired by Farway's mention of pork chops I've taken a lovely FR out of the freezer to defrost for tomorrow. I've been rubbish at thinking ahead recently so dinners have all been last minute affairs. I know there is a happy compromise between gardening & cooking lots somewhere I just need to get myself organised. I've a haddock fillet defrosting for tonight. I'll probably just dip it in milk and flour and fry in a little oil and have with veg & new spuds.
It rained a lot overnight and the sky looks as though there's plenty more to come though it's dryish at the moment. I woke just after 5am and couldn't get back over so was up and organised much earlier than is usual for me. I decided to tackle the chaos that was my dining room and it's all tidy now:) or as tidy as it can be with the extra stuff that temporarily in there. I feel a cuppa and a sit down for a bit is reasonably well deserved;). Not sure what I'll get up to once I've had a rest but I've a list of indoor stuff I can be getting on with or I might start setting up the greenhouse.
Avocado, bacon and tomato roll for lunch assuming the lurking bacon hasn't gone whiffy.0 -

Lunch became a YS mini pizza from freezer, just about right
Rain kept off, at last the climbing French beans are planted out for the summer, watered in using dribble hose, so dry out there
Eggs out for tonight, it will be steak, fried eggs & frozen chipsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
