I didn't get around to doing the weeds today. I will do it tomorrow.

The curry was nice. I have leftovers for tomorrow.:)

I forgot to buy kitchen roll as well.:p

Up early again, lovely sunny day forecast

I had to get up & going, under orders from DD to take over something for "puds" on Easter Monday. [been invited, egg hunt etc]
So, porridge breakfast then off to Morries for early doors

I had wanted to get a large gateau type thing, but even with early doors only one left, and use by tomorrow, which was no good.

I'd risk it but SIL is a GP and I can just imagine the eye rolling as FIL turns up with OOD gateau

I've got cakey things & profiteroles, all still in date on Monday:D

Found a OOD YS beef & stilton pie, 18p from £3, now in my freezer:j

Lunch was a HM scotch egg which managed to split, didn't look great but tasted ok with some piccalilli. Dinner was stir fry quorn with a big pile of veg.
Ah, the posh piccalilli, if it's the one I'm thinking of, Tracklements?

I tried that, after someone on here mentioned it. Ok for £3 offer, never saw that, I may indulge myself
Nice but I find the W/rose own label cheapo stuff is fine for my taste, not watery

Lunch, back to cheese salady sarnie I think

Dinner, no idea, I've got LO beef casserole thing which I may nuke

It's called Bay Tree and is reduced to clear, so not sure if they are going to stop selling it as the use by date was July? I usually buy the W*itrose own brand as well.

My sister and I went for a long walk today just under 10 miles we started on the South Downs Link and crossed counties and onto the North Downs Link i was shattered when we got back to the car as it was so hot, the temperature was 26 when I drove back into town it's been a few months since I've done that much walking. I'm sure it wasn't planned to stop at the same cafe we stopped a couple of weeks ago for lunch :D. Unfortunately sitting down was ok but when I stood up the backs of my thighs objected (yesterday's gardening had caught up :o)

Lunch was a slice of cheese on toast :) I shared a portion with my sister, they use a lovely local cheese and it's cheese on toast not Welsh rarebit :D. With a berry smoothie

Dinner as the last scotch egg with salad, I cba to do anything else. I'm now sitting thinking about resting my eyes :rotfl:

We had a nice day out for mums birthday with sister, bro-in-law, mum's sister and her hubby. We sat for ages in the park, just watching the people on the other side of the canal, and eating ice-cream.

We had a nice lunch in a local caf!, I had the ham, egg and chips. Kept it simple.

It was very pleasant, but a 3 hour round trip. It's an easy drive, just M1-M6 and then a little local bit at the end, so not difficult. But driving tires me out!
I stopped in at my Waitrose on the way home and grabbed a reduced sandwich and a few snacky bits.

I saw on social media, that there's a country show happening tomorrow and Monday, not far from me... I thought I might go tomorrow, but then I looked at all the food in my fridge that could really do with eating tomorrow... And as I always stuff my face as these shows, I think it's best I don't go tomorrow at least... I may still go on Monday... See how I feel. Perhaps a few proper lazy days might be advisable before "back to school" on Tuesday.

I failed at food. I had a plan to pop out "after the mad rush" (being at the seaside there are reports that everything's gridlocked for 20+ miles, so it's best to stay in until after the crowds have left the area.

Trouble was... I nodded off, so missed it.

I've nothing of any note here. No bread, no crumpets, no milk, no goodies, no salady/sandwich fillings (but no bread anyway) ... I have 1 bread roll. No crisps, no nibbles or nuts. Nothing "unusual/exciting/different" at all.

So, I'm at a bit of a loss of what to eat, but I've taken a portion of kebab meat out of the freezer.

Yesterday I had hash browns/eggs/beans for breakfast, then a portion of kebab meat with chips for tea. A few chocolate biscuits were eaten, the rest of the Matchmakers polished off and the last few chocolates scoffed.

I have a house full of "food", but I just don't fancy any of what I've got :)

I'll be at home all day. If you're alone it's pretty boring/dissatisfying/annoying to just go out in the sun plodding about among huge crowds of people/families/groups of people all doing things you're not party to... and you're just shuffling about and plodding around.

Happy Easter all, if you celebrate it. I don't bother with it. I have one smallish Easter egg, but only because my mum gave it to me yesterday. Otherwise, I wouldn't have any. If I want chocolate, I'd much rather buy a regular bar... Friends on FB are currently posting pictures of tons of chocolate, and honestly, looking at it, and thinking of having to eat it all, makes me feel a bit sick. I don't have anywhere near the sweet tooth I had when I was younger.

Well, I didn't bother going to the country show... I thought last night that I may change my mind, and get up and go, but I haven't bothered.

I was in bed by 9 last night. The long-ish drive, and day in the sun finished me off, and there was nothing I needed to stay up for. I clearly needed the sleep though, because although I woke briefly at 6-ish, I fell back asleep and it was pushing 8:30 before I stirred properly, which is late for me. Particularly at the end of a holiday.

I had boiled eggs for my breakfast, and coffee. For lunch, I have some goujons that really need eating today, so I'll do them with some leftover broccoli. And for a late tea, I'll finish off the second portion of the bolognaise I did in the slow cooker on Friday.

I'm currently still in my PJs, but I'll go and get dressed in a minute, and I'll have a shower as well. I do enjoy a PJ day from time to time, but it always turns me into a total sloth, and I end up wasting the day, puttering around the computer, achieving nothing. So I'll go and get some clothes out, and have a restart. :)

Another scorcher, early start after breakfast, down to coast to get there for free parking & beat the hordes

Cuppa in cafe along the prom, all very pleasant, sun out, sea sparkling, ferries going by, kids enjoying the splash pools
Walked over 3 miles, I was knackered from heat & hernia. Into pub for cold pint of soda & lime, could've eaten there but decided against

Back home, cheesy beans on toast is about all I can be bothered to "cook", for dinner, especially as I'm out tomorrow over DD's

We had a nice lunch in a local caf!, I had the ham, egg and chips. Kept it simple.
That is often my choice, no thought required and hard for cafe to muck up or get it wrong

PN, just as well you never went out, large shops / supemarkets / garden centres are closed on Easter Sunday, by law
Some of the large outlets were closed where we finished up, they must be spitting, with all the crowds

I've been for a long walk and then did some exercise at home. I was starving (as it was about 3 and I hadn't eaten yet) so I made myself some kidney bean, mixed pepper, red onion and salsa wraps.

I demolished them both in about 5 minutes.:rotfl:

I bought some almond milk so I'm going to make a blueberry and apple smoothie in a minute.

The "re-start" on my day has proved to be a big success. I've been very productive for the last 5 hours or so doing the de-cluttering I've been meaning to do for the past fortnight.
I blitzed my handbag collection thoroughly. Cheapy ones have gone in the bin, and I've listed a few designer ones of a FB selling group. I'll give them a week on there, and if no luck, I'll try Ebay… Then that led me into organising the spare room... I went through most of the storage in there, and chucked a lot away. Somehow I seemed to have about 12 teatowels… A single person doesn't need that many! So I've pulled out my favourite 6, and put the rest in a bag to donate. Then I tackled the bookshelves, and have pulled nearly 20 out, to pass onto the charity shelf in the garden centre, in dribs and drabs.

Ended up with perhaps 6 full binbags, and a few loose bits to take to the bins, so that was productive. Although there wasn't as much I could throw out as I thought... I actually did a HUGE declutter (20+ binbags) 2 summers ago, and haven't actually built it back up that much... There is still quite a lot of stuff from my full-time teaching work, which I'm loathe to part with just yet, as there is a slight chance I might go back into full-time work in the future...

Broke off half way through tidying to eat the left over spag-bol. Although there wasn't as much of it as I thought, so had a chocolate mousse and a wedge of edam to tide me over. I'll do the chicken goujons for a late tea.

Sounds like a very productive day Flubberzing :). In the search of plastic container lids I sorted out my kitchen cupboards, still haven't found the lid I wanted but found some stuff I pushed right to the back of one six months ago and decided as I haven't used it I could get rid of it, as well as some bits from my old food processor. I think the lids have run off with my odd socks :rotfl:

Lime and soda is also my choice of soft drinks especially if I'm driving :)

I popped round to a elderly friend this morning to sort out an issue on her iPad, I knew when she brought it I would be in trouble  this time she was putting her email password in when it was asking for her WiFi one :wall: she then phoned me this afternoon as she couldn't get into her online banking I told her she was on her own for that one. I did benefit from a couple of books and some cat food sachets her cat wouldn't eat.

I made a tuna jacket potato for lunch and for dinner I remembered a packet of bacon which turned out to be on its use by date so bacon, egg, mushrooms and some LO new potatoes chipped in the air fryer. I'll use the rest of the bacon for tomorrow for something.
