Today I've had naan pizzas, twice.
And OMG they were fabulous. One of the best flavours I've had in that format for a long time.... I think it was the sausage
Both were just: tomato base, sausage slices, cheese.
But bl00dy lovely.0 -
I used my W/rose vouchers, not bad, saved me £3.50 on stuff I'd buy anyway:j Plus a free paper, also topped up with their mature cheddar in there, also on offer at the moment
Hopefully this means mine will be on their way
Have a great time with your boys Caronc just remember you need to sit and supervise to keep the donkey locked up, let the young ones do the heavy work
it's the weekend :j :j and maybe I'll have a drink  it's been lovely and sunny here so I plan to tidy the front garden tomorrow before I find something better to do :rotfl: and the neighbours comment  unfortunately with an empty house next door his lawn is growing over my flower bed so I may have to use the strimmer on it to keep it at bay, hopefully it won't be long before the new people take over.
Lunch was the last of the gammon, I had it with a crusty bread roll which was worth the penalty for me eating the wheat. I invested in a posher than usual but reduced price jar of piccalilli in w*itrose it may ruin me for the cheaper stuff
Dinner was cba, I hadn't taken anything out of the freezer either, so I found some cod goujons which I air fried and opened a tin of sweetcorn to go with them. I ate the last of the stewed rhubarb and strawberriesLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Went out to L1dl for opening time, to get my favourite fizzy pop. They didn't have it over Xmas, then it was in again and I bought 12x2 litres, but since I've been getting low I've kept looking and they don't seem to have it any more.
Went in the other day and was just told "the lorry's broken down", but I checked the shelf and couldn't even see the label. Just been in, no fizzy pop, no shelf label
I struggle with their hash browns too, as they rarely have them!
The thing is .... it's that fizzy pop, or, I have to go through the whole arduous task of finding another one that's cheap/easily purchased. L1dl fizzy pop at 45p/2 litres was a brilliant one, taste was "spot on" (unlike similar own brands I've tried over the years). Gutted if that's it for that.
There's no way to tell with them..... no website with all the products on to even check.
So I bought a pack of sausage rolls and two bananas.0 -
Morning!
I was up reasonably early - by school holiday standards - to get a bolognaise going in the slow cooker. I'm also trying out one of those slow cooker liners for the first time, so see if they really do work, and save on washing up time... I feel like if my slow cooker was less work to clean, I'd use it more often... We shall see! I've just had 2 boiled eggs for breakfast, and will shortly have my coffee.
I had a nice meal out last night, getting home around 8:30. Somehow managed it eat 3 courses, which isn't like me!
Tomorrow I'm meeting up with family in Stafford, for my mums birthday lunch, so that'll be nice, albeit a bit of a drive.
My mission for the rest of the day is to tidy up the lounge... It's got rather cluttered with stuff everywhere... Including some xmas choccies still left over! The coffee table has got a lot of clutter as well, including magazines, and receipts I got for stuff I bought back in January!
Generally, I find that I'm not so concerned what the rest of the house looks like, but I start to feel a bit blah in myself if the lounge is a mess. I might take a few before and after photos, as that usually motivates me quite well. I'll report back this evening, and let you know how I did!Because it's fun to have money!

To achieve this, I try (not bothered this week) to perpetually see things and think "1 hour job" - a "1 hour job" is something that needs to be moved/cleaned/cleared on the basis that if the phone rang and somebody wanted to come round in an hour will I wish I'd done that job sooner.... it just means "keeping right on top of things that should be put out/thrown away/put away because i don't need to keep them out in case I want them again soon".
I did the washing yesterday, it was all on the line... glad I didn't get a call - I've taken down an entire wet set of washing before, tidied away the airers and taken the wet washing out in the car with me for the agent to do a viewing, then come back in 30 minutes later and put it all out again on the airers0 -
That sounds like hard work PN!
Good news is, the lounge now looks LOTS better!
I've just got 2 bits of rubbish that need to go out to the bins, but I'm having a PJ day, and in a block of flats, taking out the rubbish isn't as easy as "lean out the back door".
For me it's "out the flat, lock the flat, down the stairs, outside, round the corner, then back again." PERHAPS I'll slip some trousers on and just go and do it... The t-shirt I'm wearing is just passable as acceptable for a quick bin run...
The slow cooker is bubbling away nicely, but nowhere near ready. I like to give it at least 7-8 hours on Low before eating. It's currently had about 5.Because it's fun to have money!

Washing is done and been put away. The pet blankets are on the line.
I've had the garden doors open all day. It feels nice to air out the house after the winter.
I had vegetable pate on toast for lunch with a side salad.
I will probably have a banana and some nuts as a snack.
I'm making a Quorn and vegetable curry for dinner. I need to go out to the shop to buy kitchen roll, cucumber and wine.;)2025 GOALS

An early start today, thought I may as well get up instead of thinking about "things"
Usual porridge breakfast, all over before 7AM
Today I wanted to tidy up my volunteer garden, intention was pop in L's [nearby] get compost & then garden, but because I was early bird I went to Morrie's instead, they open at 7, L's is 8
Got the compost, and found a jar of horseradish while there, oh, and a cheapo bar of choc:o
Back home, more gardening, so warm & sunny it would be a shame not to be in the fresh air. Daffs dead headed, bit of watering, pots are getting dry now
Windows open to let fresh air in
Last night I put a French Loaf in the Panny, on timer, that was part of lunchtime cold beef & horseradish sarnie
Can't say I can tell any difference between French loaf [6 hours] and normal old white loaf [4 hours]. At least I've tried it, nothing wrong with it, gorgeous in fact, but I was expecting something "extra"
Today's weather is a must for salad, I'll use the cold beef, plus HM skin on chips in ActifryEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Evening
I tackled the front garden today between bouts of hayfever, it was warm and I needed sun creamI haven't finished as the garden is over 30 foot and I gave up once the garden bin was full. It will drop down so I'll go back out on Monday. I managed to cut back my neighbour's lawn so it's no longer taking over my border.
Between gardening i pottered indoors although I only thought about tidying my lounge, the floors desperately need a clean so that will be a job when it's warm but I hate it
Lunch was a HM scotch egg which managed to split, didn't look great but tasted ok with some piccalilli. Dinner was stir fry quorn with a big pile of veg.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0
