Kittie asked me to let you know that she's OK, has been packing and is shattered but that she has found a removal firm who can meet her wishes. She'll be back posting 7th August. Good news eh? :D
Fab news fuddle - thanks for letting us know. Please tell kittie that I hope the packing goes well:D

    Good morning everyone,

I woke to leaden skies and it feeling very warm and close. There's thunder & lightening forecast for this evening but I think it may arrive sooner than that!
Unusually for me I was hungry when I got up so boiled egg on toast for breakfast. Hopefully the protein boost will banish any munchies until lunchtime. For lunch I've an avocado needing used so think I'll make a salad bowl with it, various veggies, some seafood sticks and if I CBA marie rose dressing.

Cooler, overcast, 76°F indoors with curtains shut and doors open.

I've plenty of food in .... so won't go short.

Did an early morning L run perchance for fizzy pop (down to my last 6 litres now) - shelf empty. They make it difficult to leave if you don't buy stuff as you have to squeeze past the queue in the limited space... and you feel like a shoplifter :)

Best of luck with new neighbours PN. If a younger age group they may be out all day anyway, they are around here

Hot & humid, 90% chance of thunderstorms on Sunday, hooray, all the rain seems to just bypass us, goes up the East or to the West. I've kept up the watering but it is getting a daily PIA now

Found I was running low on sugar when I made the B & A mid week, so stocked up with more in L's this morning, I'm nearly ready to make more cheats' marmalade, using Mamade tin, still got a couple of jars left from 2017 so not desperate

I also bought more PB baguettes in L's, this weather I'm just not eating enough bread to use a whole loaf, and even though I keep it in the fridge to stop it going mouldy in this humidity it goes stale and only good for toast, so Marie Antoinette style, I'll eat baguettes

Lunch was more Black Forest ham, I liked it so much I bought another pack this morning, in a salady sandwich using the last of my loaf

Dinner is cold repeat of yesterday, cold LO cheese & broccoli flan, with salad stuff
And more LO B & A crumble, with last of the evap milk, the milk tasted better last night for some reason.

Glad to hear Kittie is fine, thanks for updating

Update, it rained for 5 minutes, needn't have bothered for that small amount

    Good evening everyone,

Well the rain & thunder did hold off until about 1/2 an hour ago since when it's been coming down in buckets and looks as though it's on for the night. My sister had popped by for a cuppa & a catch up and unfortunately had to leave when it was at it heaviest so was last seen splish sploshing off in her flipflops.... :rotfl:

I'm glad I decided to water the greenhouse late afternoon as I'm not keen in being in a metal framed greenhouse during a thunder storm:eek:

I did manage to motivate myself to make a small amount of marie rose dressing for my avocado & seafood stick salad for lunch and I'm glad I did as it was a really tasty bowlful. For dinner tonight I had entertained vague notions of something involving butternut squah & chorizo but I don't think I cba now so fish, chips. peas & spinach is a likely candidate.:)

    We have rain :D

It's been raining on and off for about a couple of hours and the sky is dark enough to hopefully mean it will last a little longer, no thunder although it was forecast. Heavy enough to bounce off the ground but if we have more it should benefit the garden. Windows open and I'm enjoying the smell of rain :p and it's cooler :j:j

Met up with two of my sisters for lunch and [STRIKE]gossip[/STRIKE] catch up today, there's a pub we occasionally go to which can be a bit hit and miss but today I had a lovely chicken and bacon salad with Brie and grapes and toasted walnuts infact it was piled high with the none salad bits and a nice light mustard dressing :) my sisters were both envious it seems their chilli was not so good. I had to use my folk to defer wander fingers across the table  we got caught in the rain walking back to the station but didn't mind for once and it followed us home :rotfl:

I'm feeling a little guilty as there were train issues (not unusual with Southern) and although two of us had our train showing as cancelled the previous one came in really delayed so I went that us quick get on leaving my other sister in the middle of saying something with her train showing as delayed :o I did text her with a sorry and got one back a while later just saying 'train 26 mins late' oops in our defence she would have done the same but won't admit it, so I will hear about it for months :o

    No rain here...

Today I've had sausages/beans/scrambled eggs/hash browns - kind of breakfast time ish.

A bit later on I had a couple of cocktail sausages and a bit later on another couple.

10 minutes ago I had an onion bhaji.

That might be it for today.

EDIT: Managed to squeeze in a quick packet of "A" own brand C/O - dunno why they gave the flavour a name, they're flavourless. I'll definitely be sticking to Walkers in the future - which, by the way, aren't nearly as tasty and 'sharp' as they were 20-40 years ago.

It's still raining here and the bottom of my garden is flooded...
Not all kids are horrors PN so hopefully the ones that seem to moving next to you wont be. Perhaps today they were just letting off surplus energy after being pent up with all the moving stuff. Even the most well behaved kids will always make some noise but hopefully it won't be all the time or too disruptive. I certainly "played out" when I was young, as did my kids and while I and them weren't misbehaving we certainly weren't quiet either.
