vendor from hell, playing the sympathy card, a lifetime of stuff that she wants to offload on me. I almost pulled out this moning, had enough. Ea is stepping up at last, should have done so at the start, will support her and is telling her to leave me alone and to leave the house empty
Had another lunch meal at breakfast because food is becoming so erratic here. Had flax crackers and cheese and hemp drink. Should make a salad but will probably make a green drink as I cba cooking beetroot. Photos for my house in 2 weeks, so copious watering ahead, oh dear and now my stress headache is coming back
Hugs Kittie you do sound stressed. Personally if I had got this at £25,000 under list I would be letting her leave whatever she wanted lol I`d be terrified she would find it so overwhelming that she decided yo stay put and cancelled the sale. It sounds wonderful and perfect for you, an allotment with residence lol. If shes really bugging you don't answer your phone.Slimming World at target0 -
Good evening everyone,
I hope the EA manages to sort things out kittie, but it doesn't sound as though you might still have to deal with some debris so I'd have a plan B in hand but it does sound like a great house so hopefully this is minor glitch. Eight bedrooms though - once you get it organised you could make a packet with Air B"n"B:D. When I moved here it was supposed to be fully cleared, the vendor kept trying to sell us stuff they didn't want to move which we declined, but it wasn't on the day when all the things they tried to flog us were left in situ including two huge wardrobes and a gas cooker that was only fit for condeming. Of course by that point the vendor has the money so we did have to just deal with it as we ddn't want to spend more money on trying to reclaim the costs incurred.
It has been absolutely roasting here today and even the generally much cooler bits of my house are hot! I changed my bed earlier and haven't put a duvet back on it just an empty duvet cover, I have a fleecy blanket to hand I can grab in the remote chance I'm chilly during the night.
My very old hose system is dying and leaking everywhere so I'll need to invest in a new one - it's at leasdt 16 years old so it doesn't owe me anything. It is one of the sealed wall mounted units so I can't manage to get in at it to see where the leak is, unfortunately the leaking is running off into an out house where the tap is which is at a lower level. My son will fix a new one when he's next home but meantime I think it's back to watering cans for me....:(
Still no sign of runner beans or anymore cuumbers than the solitary one that is doing well. Courgettes do look as though they are loving the hot weather:).
Pizza I think tonight using a small naan as a base, I'll top it with some tomato/red pepper bruchetta paste I have in the cupboard, jarred peppers, sliced toms & mozzarella so not much by way of prep to do.0 -
I had a slice of corned beef.... on its own, eaten with my fingers.
I think I'll buy that corned beef again. I made a sandwich with a slice earlier - cb 13p, bread 4p, bit of marg, that's a cheap meal!
I prefer the idea of it being just 5 slices at 65p, rather than buying a tin and having to really think whether I can use a whole tin... I can easily nibble my way through slices just by opening the fridge door and reaching in!0 -
they are not making any more crumpets because of the CO2 shortage
I'm not so worried about the crumpets, it's the tonic for my g&t :rotfl:
I hope the stress level decreases Kittie, but they do say it's up there as one of the most stressful things you can do.just remember she's paying her EA you're paying your solicitor let them sort it out and if need be reinforce the message to her EA. If you get the house you want it will be worth it
you recommended rescue remedy to help me sleep is there anything you can take to help with the stress?
Work was a lot better today and the air conditioning was wonderful, although it was a shock when leaving the building and getting in the car. I'm a little wheezy at the moment and my peak flow is a lot lower than it should bebut what the asthma nurse doesn't know won't hurt her and I have until September before my next review
I'm just holding off on the long walks until it's cooler.
Lunch was salad using odds and sods from the fridge with some fresh pineapple. Dinner was the LO burger, I opened the back door and smelt a neighbours bbq so that made that decision, mine was cooked indoors
sorry Heston still not sure what made it an ultimate burger?

My portion control is much better if I buy slices rather than tins, I do prefer tinned if making hash but buy slices otherwise. Unfortunately I can nibble my way through a tin with ease
:o but I'm less inclined to nibble at slices.

I have been fine all day after e mails from my solicitor. Meg I believe the property was overvalued for the area but being a cash buyer and able to move quickly does have some weight. I am not dropping out, I feel sorry for her but I have to be detached about this and I do have to be strict. I notice that the EA has not put an stc on either the RM listing or on his website. I have now had to write him an e mail to remind him that my final offer was conditional on removing the property from sale. So another hurdle but there is no way that this vendor would get such a quick sale, which is what she wants
I am hating the constant heat, it is so tiring and I don`t think is good for us at all0 -
pesky crows and jackdaws woke me up, screeching at each other, I have already been up an hour but the upside is that it is still an ok temperature and I am managing to get some slightly cooler air into the house to help cool things down before the next build up today. Worst spot is the landing right now, best thing to do is slide the loft hatch if you have one. I haven`t got a loft
I fancied french toast and brown sauce so thick bread is now soaking in beaten egg/milk/salt/pepper. I know that will fill me up in a nice way0 -
please everyone, make sure to drink enough water all day and evening, moisture is always coming out the skin and when breathing and I don`t mean perspiration. You will probably notice that you are pee`ing less and that is enough evidence. We can all start to feel ill when we haven`t got enough water inside us, just normal body processes take up a lot of water daily but this heat is multiplying the need. Feeling thirsty is too late as sign, don`t wait to feel thirsty. I am including me in this as I often forget to drink.
It looks as though we have another 2 weeks of this ahead of us and Aand E will be getting increasingly busy. It isn`t pleasant weather and air humidity goes far too low by mid-day. If you have a fan then put it on behind a wet t towel draped on a clothes rack or similar, it will make the air much more comfortable and cooler
It is 19 outside already but still ok to have windows open but later outside will be much hotter and open windows bring hotter air inside, so keep this out. Draw the curtains before then if possible, the warmth will transmit through double glazing. Take care, this is dangerous weather0
