Hot here too
just means it takes more effort to think about cooking and eating, unfortunately the weight hasn't gone down  I found my menu plan for the last week, let's just say it's a work of fiction :rotfl: most of the intended protein is still in the freezer, and I'm going to have to check the veg to see what needs using tomorrow or freezing. Anyway mustn't grumble, give it a month and we will be complaining about the rain
Lunch was a salad made with LO tuna, new potatoes, boiled egg and olives. Dinner was a burger and onions in a roll, YS Hestons fancy burgers from W*itrose, not sure what they usually sell for but 2 for 99p seemed worth a try not sure what made them 'ultimate burgers' to be honest they were just burgers, if I hadn't been so cba I would have made my own. One left but they are dated until the 4 July so may have it at weekend rather than freeze.

though fairness it was a [STRIKE]fairly[/STRIKE] completely random spend allocation as I had never added up how much I generally spent on my gardening hobby before:cool:)
I have still haven't started dinner, in this weather I seem to get later and later having my last meal doesn't seem to affect my digestion though so hey ho.
I now have a lovely scratched hand thanks to a young puss that lives somewhere nearby. She's a sweet wee thing generally that I see from time to time, usually legging it, but her owners have put a collar on her which had got snagged as she was attempting to slide through my fencing and the poor thing was stuck. I dread to think how long she might have been there(and had been there) if I hadn't been watering the garden. I do wish I knew where she lived so I could tell the owners and hopefully they might take her collar off - tbh if I could have got near enough I would have! Cue discovering one very distressed, fridghtened angry cat. I probably could have and probably should have used a stick to dislodge the collar but I didn't want to distress her further hence the scratches! Was she grateful - nope shot off like a bullet with not a backward glance :rotfl:0 -

I put an offer in on a house, saw it on monday by accident when it came on the market, dithered a tiny bit, researched all day, emotions were all over the place, I insisted on viewing yesterday, good job I did. Started low with an offer, went quite a bit higher in 3 steps altogether and my last offer was accepted. A lady now a disabled widow, both of us have integrity and feel secure in this. Market town, bus is 5 min walk away, bus goes to 3 towns every 20 minutes. Shops a 10 minute walk away, doctors a 10 minute walk away. Fate or what, oh yes needs work ie cosmetic, new boiler etc very old detached house with 1/3 acre of immaculate flat gardens the back garden used to be an allotment0

Congratulations Kittie - hope all goes smoothly with it and with selling your own.
Guess the garden was the clincher for you? I know that a nice garden (if one can find a house with one.....) tends to make me "forgive a few sins" re the house itself.0 -
Good morning everyone,
It's looking as though it's going to be another scorcher, I was up early- too hot to sleep so have got the garden watered and a few chores done before it gets hotter.
Food plans will be quick and easy today, ham & pineapple salad for lunch and either fish for dinner or pasta again. If I cba I'll make HM "pesto" to use up some of the herby leaves before they to bolt in the heat.0 -
I have been to the local bakers for a ham salad so looking forward to lunch, they do lovely salads and all very fresh. Tonight not so sure, im not feeling inspired by anything for tonight as its so hot, I want to make potato salad but no chives to be had in the local shop and it tastes much better with,0
