Up at 5.30, bath and breakfast: toasted roll, beans, scrambled eggs.

Off to the shops, bought bread rolls and some of that stuff they call "fruit" :) not much of it mind you! Oh ... and a sticky cake :)

I've a lot to do this weekend, so I've filled the rolls and popped those in the fridge to be grabbed on a whim ... and those, with the crisps and fruit I've got, plus a few sweeties will keep me going.

Might not get round to posting much for the next couple of days as I'm in and out and in and out a lot... and the PC's playing up, so CBA to fire it up just to see if it's going to work for me each time.

enjoyed my lunch. The lamb meal was different because it was simmered with spices and red onion in water and then a caulie was added, in large florets. Caulie disintegrated so it became exactly like rice and I nuked my portion today, rarely use the mw btw, had it with cabbage and tiny courgettes, steamed over beetroots, which are for tomorrow. I wasn`t expecting it to be as nice as it was and the bowl of food was nicely filling

Some jobs done ie roughly got the dust off the car windows, been to the tip, posted parcels and generally pottered but having been up since 5, I am not a bit tired, surprised myself too. Chilling with water and a plum puree/ice cream snack and will go and work in the garage soon, carrying on with the inventory ie what I put where

Normal Friday routine, nil breakfast, then poottle around L's on way to volunteering.

Absolutely nothing I fancied or needed in L's, or so I thought until I was back home for lunch and found my half loaf had gone mouldy  That was earmarked for lunchtime sandwich:(

However all not lost, I keep a few packs of ready to bake baguettes in, just in case, and today was that day

Lunch was a bit later than planned PB baguette with cheese & salady filling

I had thought of opening tin of salmon for tonight, but now have invite over DD's for early Fathers' Day buffet, and I don't want LO opened salmon knocking around

Dinner is therefore yesterday repeat, baked spud with Cheddar filling, plus salad

    Good evening everyone,

Congratulations on the new babies Farway, I've just poured a glass of wine so will "wet the babies' head" for you.:rotfl::rotfl:I've lots of flowrs on my runners but no babies yet though I have some teeny broad bean pods and some of the peas are nearly ready.:)
My Dad really enjoyed his lunch and actually had seconds (though in fairness I had only served up a small plateful initially) and then had some strawberries & cream:). He's back for lunch on Sunday for Father's Day as he was supposed to be going for lunch with my brother who now can't make it and my sister is away with work and won't be back until late on Sunday so is treating him on Monday instead:). Ages ago we were for some reason talking about IKEA and swedish meatballs came up which I know he loves so I'm going to make some HM ones as a surprise. I do have some of the IKEA ones in the freezer but after hardly cooking for his lunch today it feels like a bit of a cop out to use and I'm not sure how many there are of the bought left anyway.

After lunch I had a snooze and then got a taxi to the library (and back) to exchange my books. The library was really busy and I was struggling to be in it trigger-wise so goodness knows what books I've chosen, hope they're not all duff or ones I've recently read;).
Dinner tonight is going to be a semi-HM pizza using a frozen naan bread as the base and topped with some of last night's pasta sauce and mozzarella. I've not had pizza in ages so looking forward to it.:)
  • More cba for dinner tonight. So it was bowl food - roasted cauliflower, spring onions and peppers with ready done cheat time of cooked packet quinoa (Aldi's version this time), tahini sauce, tomatoes, olives.

Followed by freezer surprise - as in I'd hauled out a container of "something white and liquid-y" and I couldnt remember what it was. But am guessing at yogurt or coconut milk or the like - so threw a bit of cocoa powder and maple syrup in with it and drank it.

Another sunny day but with a nice breeze so a quick post before I go water.

Lunch was a bacon roll with a squirt of 'tommy' sauce haven't had one for ages so really enjoyed it, enough bacon left for bacon and egg brunch tomorrow :) dinner was massaman beef curry, nice to eat a curry which I haven't over spiced :rotfl: just need to decide whether to freeze LOs or be really lazy tomorrow dinner

I do love a freezer UFO - my best one was a few years back when the kids were still at home and defrosted what I thought was curry that turned out to be lentil soup. We still had it with rice & naan etc.

Hedge your bets and leave the LOs in the fridge until tomorrow:)

 Heretic! Brown sauce only for bacon roll / buttie :D:D

I guess that debate would be on same lines of milk in first or last with tea. I in the MIL camp BTW

Up early, once more into the garden to harvest some raspberries & wild strawberries to stir into my breakfast of nuked porridge, honey & HM yoghurt.
Plenty of raspberries left to ripen, plus I noticed the red & white currants are now "turning" and should be ripe in time for next week's breakfasts

Then made some more yoghurt post breakfast, I'm well into the yoghurt making routine now

The weather looks a bit dull and I would not be surprised if it rained, which would be a pity because I'm over my daughter's place for a Fathers' day outside veggie pizza buffet this afternoon, at least a CFO bypass for dinner tonight

Not sure about lunch, I've got a PB baguette, bit undecided whether to have cheese salady filling or some of the Heck bangers in it

My heart says bangers to maintain my omnivore credentials for the day, but CBA may flip me to the cheese option.
A first world problem right there folks
