  • Yep....grey/chillier/raining somewhat here today too (after summer yesterday). Had to go out in it - so had lunch out of more mediterranean type vegetables/cheese/etc type sandwich.

Twice in one day today then for mediterranean type vegetables - as I've got yesterday's leftovers of that to eat and having it with a bit of "fancy" type bread I bought.

:j:j Its raining, has been for an hour, nice and steady and not fierce, yet.

I am exonerated :jfrom being on the allotment very early, transplanting kales and lettuces and sowing swedes. :D
It is cold though, I changed into winter trousers and a jumper with long sleeves, feels like autumn

Did you get our rain Farway it's been raining here since 12 I wanted to finish filling my garden bin tonight as I like to get my money's worth  but I think it will be too wet. Caronc can we have some of our sun back please I've put jeans back on today

I had a call from the vet 1pm asking if I could pick up my boy as he was getting stressed, luckily I've a good manager and I could work from home this afternoon. X-ray results all ok :T so I've a sleepy cat at least the wobble from the sedative has gone. :D not sure what's wrong she said could be an old soft tissue injury, as long as he's climbing 6 foot fences she thinks he will be ok

Lunch was quiche and salad, I was going to make gnocchi in a mushroom sauce but I'm now fancying jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw, the mushrooms should be ok tomorrow

Just off to find some socks now :o

I've not done a lot today, truth be told..... I've stared at a lot of clutter piled up here and there and dotted around on the floor that I COULD have sorted out/tidied/boxed up ... but I just left it to loiter.

I had that good old CFO staple: chips and beans for tea! Quick, easy, tasty, filling. I finished off the last squares of chocolate from the bar I bought earlier in the week too.

My telly's not worked all day - red standby light's on but the remote's not turning it on. Tried different batteries, still nothing. I might unpack the batteries and see if I've more in that size... sometimes when you've opened a pack of batteries for one job and kept the rest, by the time you get round to using the others they might be dead (long shot there) ....

Do you have batteries from something else you know works? At the risk of sounding like some IT guy telling you to Ctrl Alt Delete have you tried turning the tv off at the socket for a few minutes and back on again:rotfl:

    Good evening everyone,
Not wishing to rub it in but I'm just in from the garden and it is still 19C in the shade:). Forecast is to be dry, very warm though overcast & breezy until the middle of next week. Late May & June tend to see the best weather here after which it tends to get wet and warmish so nope I'm not sharing the sunshine.;)
I did mop the floors and do a little in the garden but apart from that I've been lazy this afternoon & enjoying the good weather. :D

Really cba cooking tonight so dinner is a "here's one I made earlier" from the freezer of Spanish chicken stew I might toast a pitta to have with it.

ETA - Glad puss is home Brambling:D

I am so tired today, I blame my bedding. My head feels stuffed with dense sawdust so I am on auto pilot re food. Nothing more than cleaning and chopping today, if that and I thankfully have a made meal in the freezer, just need to add some veg

realfoods delivered yesterday and I now have some spelt pizza bases, will use one tomorrow, also oatcakes made with olive oil and not sunflower oil

Anyone else sick of mass e mails re data? I have started just deleting and not reading

Yesterday I was home from work around 2 so did some washing, and got it dry, it's been hot and sunny for weeks here so glad to see rain forcast for today then back to good weather the rest of the week.
    The garden is bone dry.
I had fruit and yogurt for lunch as it was late then had pizza for tea with smoked salmon on.

I need to prep the cats raw food now , it comes in 1 kilo sausage frozen, so needs splitting and I repack in old takeaway tubs. So the kitchen will be getting a good clean when I've done that.
Dgson is coming today, and we'll have chicken jalfrezi with rice for tea.

    Good morning everyone,

    It's another glorious day here.:D
Yep I'm also fed up with data emails, just deleting them as I reckon that it's a good way to cut back the amount of random stuff I get. I can resubscribe to anything if I want in the future.
I was awake early so have managed to get myself organised & the bathroom cleaned before it gets too warm.
The last piece of quiche will be lunch with some salad, after that I'm not CFO for a few days as my younger son is home:) so haven't planned anything and will see what he fancies.

Brambling, yes, had the rain, it tipped down later in the day, saved me a job:j

Nil breakfast, volunteer day, but yet again I had a bowl of cereal later in the evening, sort of early breakfast

Into L's, struck lucky today, YS Chilli con Carne, dinner solved, and they are tasty as well
Plus found a reasonable looking Iceberg lettuce at last, could be just in time for a warm & sultry weekend

Nearly had fish & chips for lunch, luckily there was a queue so collected my prescription instead, far healthier

Or it would have been had I not ventured into Costcutter on way to chemist, YS pack of 4 mini pork pies. I've been yearning for them since I think Caron was eating them mid week, yearning itch resolved

Lunch was mini pork pie with piccalilli

Dinner will be the YS chilli

Only gardening today will be listening to GQT in about 20 minutes time, while drinking a cuppa in the conservatory:D
