Asda keep changing prices on me, no sooner do I add an item to my delivery list the price changes the next day. At least with Asda once you check out, even if not yet delivered, the price remains as ordered unless it goes down, none of the price is what ever it is on delivery day nonsense. Mind you they have Branston beans, Four for a quid, I'll order but no doubt out of stock by delivery day, see what I get then.

Good morning,

More sunshine and thundery showers here today. My poor bedding plants are looking battered time to get rid I think, between the heat, the wind and the deluges they never really flourished this year.

Kitchen lighting project is well under way so I'[m trying to plan my day around the power being on and off apart from Tesco coming later my plans are fluid. I added a tin of chickpeas to the curry last night which worked well and there's plenty LO for an easy lunch today. Dinner is the usual Friday tbc.

Sunny intervals here today but there was a decided drop in temp during the night. 

You will certainly need some mixed clothing for your trip “oop norf” Brambling but at least no hip pain to bother you this year, hope you have a great time.

I enjoyed the spicy chicken mince lettuce cups last night and it’s definitely on the make again list. I froze most of the raw mince but kept enough back to make that online craze for “baked donor kebab” I added my preferred herbs and spices to the mince, rolled it and baked - it did turn out like doner meat and very tasty but ever so slightly tough, I stuffed it with salad into a pitta for my lunch, dont know I'd bother again.

An easy dinner of posh fish fingers, AF chips and peas tonight - yum 😉

Brambling

N2BT packing my suitcase was interesting today! I had to rethink what I was taking.

Tomatoes have been shared between friends and neighbours as there is a limit on what I'll use on holiday 😁 I popped some in the freezer I'll make tomato sauce when I get home.

Boiler man called early with a less than expected quote 🙂 and he'll do the work the Monday /Tuesday the week I get home. His son will be on paternity leave so it will take him into the second day. I'll miss him when he retires next year but seeing as he will be 70 I can't complain and he ha# trained his son well.

I thought I had gotten all my shopping but missed a couple of toiletries so quick trip into Sainsbury's when I got petrol 🫣 £1,50 last time I got it back up to £1.58 which even with a double nectar point voucher it was still painful.

Ham and cheese salad roll for lunch. I used a naan bread to make a vegetable pizza for dinner and used up the last of the salad
