One has to keep up appearances:rotfl::rotfl:0

Just back from "airing my wheels", it is a beautiful day though still chilly. It was lovely to be in the sunshine:D.
I'm having a much needed sit down and a cuppa before I have a gentle potter in the garden. I've decided I'm not growing any chillies this year as I loads dried and loads in the freezer. I hope I don't regret that decision;).0 -
Scoffed out yesterday, chish & fips.
Just trotted down the road to L1dl and got sausage rolls, so had two sausage rolls for lunch today. Dessert was a bit of chocolate.0 -
It was sunny and warm and I did garden jobs, suddenly it was dark, rainy and cold. I can`t tell you how glad I am that I had a rm in the fridge, to shove in the oven, enough veg in it, so no extra veg. I did eat my berry/apple crumble while I was waiting
Last meal is going to be something with toast and I will have some pistacheos and chocolate. Shepherds pie is absolutely gorgeous with the sweet potato
I had a whizzy brain in bed last night, kept waking up. I think it was because I watched a prime film, started ok and ended up too gory for me, any amount is too gory. I had land in my head, a bungalow with 1/3 acre, flat grass, then remembered that we had 1/4 acre at one time, when I was 40 and even that was hard work. It took me some time but once I decided not to be silly, I went off to sleep
Farway, I am going to try adding a bit of powdered milk to my yogurt milk. I think it will make the yogurt thicker. The guernsey yogurt tastes nice but unhomogenised milk and I ended up skimming the tops. Next time will be full cream and not heated high and cooled, just warmed to max 46. Besides which it will be easier, I will whisk the powdered milk in first before adding starter0 -
Well - that felt a bit healthier. Avocado toast for lunch with tomatoes on top and then generous slice of melon and some rice milk.
Right - choices here - should I do housework I know needs doing or finish off that book I'm currently on. Waits for food to go down in stomach and then time for another exercise session.
The plans are to have a daily (bar it being a particularly busy day that is):
2-3 miles power walking video from YouTube (dependant on whether I'm doing other walking in the course of the day anyway)
OR a 5 mile walk (that 10,000 steps per day)
AND
30-60 minutes yoga session.
Now let's see how that works out in practice then:cool:0 -
A lovely clear mild day here, unfortunately most of it spent at work.
Breakfast 2 toast/cheese spread.
3 satsumas, very tasty.
Lunch, piri piri chicken and tomato plus sun blush tomato sandwiches. Yogurt and seeds.
Tea will be Spanish chicken rm,
My blossom shrub kojo no mai, is just coming into flower. I absolutely love it . It has twisted stems and the blossoms come out before the leaves, it's around 7 ft now just outside my conservatory door, it's beautiful.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
It's rained here most of the day.
Had 2 more sausage rolls .... and then a portion of chips with some of the chilli I made. The final portion of chilli is now in the freezer.0 -
Had dinner - of roast vegetables, tomatoes, hummus (semi homemade - ie I made it, but used canned chickpeas for it). Followed by an apple.
Not particularly my definition of tasty for sure - but the CFJ moment today was thinking "These size 14 label size jeans are feeling rather loose - wonder if I'll be able to get into some size 12 label size jeans soon. Followed by real size 12 jeans?"
Followed by the afternoon exercise session resulting in my knickers (which had also felt a bit loose) heading straight for the floor - followed by getting thrown away then:).
Fingers crossed for a decent bit of weight loss - and, if it means eating food I don't find particularly appetising most of the time for a couple of months or so = so be it.0 -
Good evening everyone,
:eek: re the sliding knickers MTSTM, hope it was in the privacy of your own home?
How lovely the blossom tree is out wort, I love when things spring back to life after the winter:)
PN & kittie, unusually I think I've pinched your good weather;). It was a lovely afternoon here, though there was no warmth in the sun and the temperature has dipped sharply now it's getting dark so another frosty night I think. I'll be keeping my flannelette bedding sets on for a bit yet I think as I hate being chilly in my bed!
I got a few bits done in the garden, not much but it's a start:).
Lunch was a scotch egg with salad and pickles and it's chicken curry, spinach & pitta for dinner tonight. I'm going to take a piece of cooked (Christmas) turkey leg out of the freezer tonight to make a CFO "roast dinner" tomorrow. I'm no further forward with a meal pan so think it's on hold until after Easter.0 -

Yep....it wasn't an instance of "Embarrassing moments 'r us":)0
