I only like Bombay Sapphire Gin, ... might try that as an 'emergency drink'.
Been MIA, as I was online too much, and as my job is online, something had to give.

Not much in the new recipe tried line, but I had a heavenly meal out today. A lovely two course Italian, mixed olives with toasted bread, salad and dressing, plus a MASSIVE 'proper' pepperoni pizza, for six squid.

I am looking forward to the weather improving, and less carb-heavy foods. At the moment, my body is saying 'porridge- toast - pizza- hm bread - chunky chips'.

I was taken to Browns of Brighton for my 50th and treated to a Gin Afternoon Tea. Cream tea with Hendricks and slice of cucumber

Sounds like a lovely afternoon :D

    Good morning everyone,
The sun is shining this morning though it is frosty just now it should soon lift. I'll make the most of the good weather and have a trundle round the block this morning and hopefully get a bit of a potter in the garden later. :)

I've chicken curry defrosting for tonight so not much cooking going on here today. :)
  • Quite bright out there - so visit to supermarket in a moment.

Must make more effort than I did yesterday food-wise.

Lunch was a tahini and tomato sandwich and apple eaten en route to go dancing with others.

After we'd "done our thing" I was that hungry (despite it being relatively early still) that I just grabbed the nearest food there was in my kitchen. So - muesli and then toast. :o. Well - that was a well-balanced food day - not!

There were no excuses for being quite so ravenous either - as that was the day's activities - ie a solo video exercise session in the morning and going off elsewhere to do our bit of dancing in the afternoon. Unless I can use the excuse of us all going for a coffee twice - and I passed on the cakes most others were taking both times and didn't have one. Just my drink each time - on its own.

Wet old morning, I was hoping to do a spot more pruning but will have to settle for sorting through my climbing beans ready for Easter sowing

Late bowls of cereal payback time at this morning's weigh in:( Not in CFJ yet, still working on it:)

Breakfast was weather suitable bowl of porridge, with HM yoghurt & a dribble of fake maple syrup from the FMS vat

Lunch is most likely cheese salady sarnie. It's wholemeal bread so at least attempting a nutritious meal

I've oiked a frozen salmon fillet out to defrost for tonight. I think with salad & boiled new spuds

Invite out tomorrow, nothing special, but I suspect coffee & scone mid morning, then Sunday lunch and maybe have a pud included in the bargain price. The restaurant is part of the Cathedral's efforts to help towards upkeep, with proper cooks, not arrives ready made ready to nuke comes in van stuff.
