We have a drainage issue in our garden as I had someone round last week (the husband of someone from this forum) and he told me that we are going to need specialist equipment to find how it needs to be drained. Another thing to add to the to-do list of work needed in this house. The workman we have been using said he should know somebody who could do it for us.

I got up very late as my husband did a night shift last night. I have only had a coffee so far. I'm probably going to have crumpets and marmalade in a minute.

I'm going to have veggie sausages, jacket potatoes with broc, carrots and cabbage with gravy later. :) It felt chilly last night, but it feels okay today.

    Good morning everyone,
Dry and sunny here though a good bit cooler, we lit the stove last night as the house felt chilly. My sis brought Ari, the first time the two pooches had been together since they were poorly. My they were excited to see each other so the door was open quite a bit to allow them to charge in and out and let of some steam.
Housework beckons today as I've a friend visiting tomorrow. Not that she's one to be bothered by a bit of dust but I'd the place to be reasonably clean and tidy.
The Italian-style cottage pie was really tasty - LOs for lunch and maybe a portion for the freezer as it was a big one. Lamb curry tonight using the remains of a lamb shoulder I cooked last week. I do wish now I'd taken the meat off the bone before I froze it!
  • I woke up feeling like I had vertigo on my sleep again and felt dizzy and sick and a bit like I might get a migraine. It has been almost two weeks since my Thai massage. She said it was my left shoulder bone causing and it does feel tight. I think I must be sleeping awkwardly on it.

I went out to try and get some fresh air to clear my head and I went to a charity shop. I got a bag, a dress and a top for £5.

I am having crumpets with Marmite now as I didn't eat this morning. I might take some paracetamol too.

I want to take some dresses to be altered tomorrow so I'm washing them first along with what I just bought.

How cute. I think my dog misses my other dog who died a couple of years ago as they used to play every day.

Dull & a bit chilly compared to lately
Into town first thing, mainly to top up my car but fitted in a Mark's mooch, the chicken legs are back on the shelves, still £1.50 for a pack of three. One in my trolley, plus some party 3 for £8 snacks, DD has a family gathering on Saturday & asked to take some bits along. Plus YS MFO for tonight, and YS crumpets.
The Marmite & crumpets sounds very tempting now Wednesday

Had a fright topping the car up, suddenly realised I was putting unleaded in my diesel :o , no idea how that happened I'm so wary of doing just that:confused:
Luckily, it was only a couple of litres before I twigged, so topped up full of diesel and I think the dilution will be fine, at least it drove home OK

Lunch was toasted YS crumpets + cheese topping
Dinner, the YS MFO chicken tikka

    Good morning everyone,
Yikes Farway that was a close one, could have been an expensive mistake!
DS2 headed off just after 5am to attend a site meeting in Catterick. It was supposed to be virtual but late yesterday afternoon it changed, for various reasons, to face-to-face. It does mean the rest of his day will be a write off but it's high value project so worth it.
Looking forward to catching up with friend this morning, we speak often but haven't actually seen each other this year!
Lunch is tbc and for tonight I've a tub chicken, chorizo and chickpea stew defrosting. We'll probably have it with rice.

Chucking it down here this morning, but did catch a glimpse of the moon last night, nothing like the photos of course

Checking on YT with petrol in my diesel, seems mixed results, but I live in hope, as it drove home, seems keep topping up with diesel and not letting it get too low in tank for a thousand miles should gradually clear it out, luckily my car is older, so the tolerances are not as fine as modern cars, of course it happened now I have a years new MOT and car tax

Feeling a bit lacking oomph this morning, dull & grey outside is hardly inspiring
Lunch, thinking Brunch of bacon & eggs because breakfast was just a toasted crumpet
Dinner, depends on if weather brightens or not. Brighter will be LO cold meat salad, not brighter, it’s the chicken legs, roasted & HM AF chips

  • I remembered about the moon last night and then forgot to go and look!

I slept much better last night. I looked at the temperature in the room (as we moved into the second bedroom a couple weeks ago) and it is colder than downstairs so I put on warmer sleepwear and shut the windows when I went to bed. I think I must have been getting chilly and that was what was making me feel ill. I feel much better today.

I had a craving for BBQ and onion tofu as I keep seeing people making it on Instagram! I will make that for lunch or dinner with veggies and rice.

I need to have a shower, wash my hair and get dressed and find a clothes altering place today. I need to fill in an econsult for my GP too. Better get cracking.

I have the last crumpet and a banana and some mango for breakfast.

Rain early, but sun's out now, and it's quite humid, supped to be a good weekend, hope so because DD is having a family gathering tomorrow, so sunshine will mean we can spill into her garden in the sun

Back onto porridge for breakfast this morning
Lunch, last of the cold roast pork with a few salad bits & pickle, sort of Ploughman style
Dinner, I did roast the Mark's chicken legs yesterday, so it's one of them, cold, with HM AF chips & side salad

My bananas have gone over ripe, time for making a banana loaf this afternoon

    Good morning everyone,
Dry and trying to be sunny this morning, Tesco have  been and my sis has just returned a soggy, sandy Hector who she had taken to the beach for a run around with Ari. He'll need a good brush once he's dried out a bit.
Salady bits for lunch and usual Friday freezer rake for dinner.
