  • Another relaxing day here, ready for whatever this week throws at me…

Some domestic pottering and ironing this morning (things were a bit neglected last week) and then out for lovely lunch 😋

Made 4 portions of spicy carrot and lentil soup this afternoon - 2 in the fridge for this week and 2 in the freezer, kitchen all cleared up 😇

Had a smoked salmon sandwich and a glass of wine while watching the strictly results.
  • We went out for a veggie roast dinenr yesterday, it was delicious.

We got back in time to watch the football. I thought it was pretty decent as I was expecting it to be very boring!

I have the hygienist today, but will be back in time to watch the football. I am trying to eat up the fresh stuff in my fridge and I might buy a tub of houmous as I have lots of carrots. Either that or I will make myself soup when I get home.

Oh yes, I have bell peppers too so I might make stuffed peppers as well. I have lots of beans and a packet of flavoured easy cook rice.

Gosh, what a miserable, dull, grey, cold & wet November Monday morning it is here and very glad I don't have to go out in it

I have got up with a return of my gouty type achy right foot, it's the arch that hurts when I hobble about. Painful but I console myself it's been about a month since my last bout so hoping the Allopurinol is doing the job it's supposed to.
I think I may be verging on a cold as well, being a sniffly and shivery. Suits this current weather anyway

Not sure about food today, not very hungry, plus standing around cooking will be awkward
I have plenty of instant fix stuff around, including a two Chicago Town pizzas that have been skulking in the freezer forever, one of those could be quick & easy dinner
Lunch, maybe LO cold roast pork in a sarnie

    Good afternoon everyone,
Late on parade today as the internet was playing up.
    Hope the foot settles Farway.
Frosty start here today, grey and chilly now.
Hector had his post op check first thing, all good but he has a larger cone for during the day so we can dispense with the body suit which will make toileting easier. He's to wear the smaller cone/suit at night.
    Domestics and admin today.
Christmas stuffing is made, portioned and in the freezer.
Made a pan of chicken, veg & rice soup yesterday so HM soup for lunch. Later I'm make a vat of beef & lentil ragu, we'll have some with pasta tomorrow and I'll freeze the rest. JO's one pan salmon in a bag for dinner with sugar snap peas, asparagus and HM sweet potato wedges.
  • Proper dank, autumn/winter day here first thing, then the rain started, it’s been truly miserable 😶

Fairly good day today, not a lot to show for it but some good meetings and catch ups. Looking forward to a wfh day tomorrow. Lunch was some of the spicy carrot and lentil soup with a toasted pitta. Made creamy sausage and leek pasta tonight, served with broccoli and green beans. LOs for tomorrow’s lunch 😉

Definitely a horrid wet day and just before it got dark we had a very yellowish light and it got very windy.

Sorry to hear the foot is twinging Farway  :|

Typical Monday work wise, just the one meeting, with some complaining from the UK team that it started at 1pm and it seems so did the football 🙄 I don't watch football so didn't care  :)

Early lunch was a chicken salad sandwich and following the chicken theme dinner was a LO roast dinner before I popped to see my sister and nephew for a couple of hours.

We had that odd weather, a bit like the end of the world had arrived with howling wind, battering rain and all the leaves whizzing off the trees
Bright & blue sky this morning though

My foot ache vanished by mid-afternoon after I'd been resting it foot up in the recliner, heated throw & exploring YouTube rabbit holes. It's back again this morning, more of an inconvenience walking / hobbling really than the handicap it was prior to the medication

Food, another undecided day, sarnie lunchtime and whatever takes my fancy from the freezer, the pizzas were just the job yesterday, despite being six months past freezer BBD

Foot permitting, it's off to Mark's tomorrow, my YT browsing turned up a review of Mark's Scottish Lamb steaks, not cheap of course, but they did look nice, and I may just treat myself, I also need some Christmas gift cards

  • It was horrible weather here too yesterday. Very cold wind and rain and very miserable. I got home from the dentist and basically pulled the curtains, switched on the xmas tree lights and sat there and watched the football for the rest of the day! I made myself a very quick tomato and lentil soup and had that with rolls and then I just snacked on junk food!

    Good morning everyone,
Heavy frost this morning and although the temperature is actually lower than yesterday it feels warmer than then as the sun is shining.
Off for my COVID and flu jabs this evening. It's at the local airport and reports are that there are no queues so fingers crossed. Cooked a vat of minced beef, brown lentil and mushroom ragu yesterday so some of that will make an easy pasta meal when we get back. HM soup for lunch.

Normal work day for me, busy enough for the day to go quickly

I popped in the garden centre to pick something up for my sister and it was full of Christmas trees.  I did pick up a individual lemon Bakewell  tart which was lunch with a cuppa 🙂

Dinner was LO roast chicken with AF chips and veg.  I'll either freeze or make stock for soup with the bones tomorrow 🤔
