I hope the baby is doing well.
I went out last night to a quiz and our team came in second place. I got a bottle of wine as a prize.
I had a veggie burger in a wrap with salad, ketchup and mustard for dinner tonight. I then had some pistachio nuts and half a protein bar.0 -
The little one was moved to a ward today
she's still on oxygen but a lot brighter, it's difficult to imagine she was on a ventilator yesterday morning. If she has a good night they may move her back to the local hospital, where she will need to be weaned off of some of the medication she's on. My nephew and his OH had a bit of a crash today, all the adrenaline finally stopped so it will be good if they can be closer to home and family
A quiet day for me, sore arm meant a disturbed sleep and I think the CV booster has left me tired
lunch was hummus and grated carrot wrap. Dinner venison steak local wild deer from the Farmers market with mushrooms, fried onions, mash potatoes, broccoli and corn on the cob. There was more steak than I expected so LO for lunch in a wrap tomorrow
Heavy rain outside at the moment, it looks like we're in for a wet week😐

Brambling said:Heavy rain outside at the moment, it looks like we're in for a wet week😐It hammered down here late evening & overnight, but bright this morning. At least the newly installed bird bath will have been topped upNot sure if it was rain waking me or just general Ugh, but feeling a bit lethargic this morning, nothing planned anyway so not to worry. Actually I had planned to get my Asda Christmas shop booked, but I have my days muddled up & slots aren't open until tomorrow, I'll try to top up the basket with expensive booze to hold the slotMeals today will be lazy ones, I fancy corned beef, now a luxury item of course. I have a tin from Lidl that I must have bought pre Covid because I've not been in there since lockdown, so that's the one I'll openLunch, corned beef & pickle sarnieDinner, nuke LO mash, with corned beef & maybe some salad bits. With compulsory salad cream on the mashEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

It was raining here this morning, but it looks like it might brighten up.
I'm having a cup of Yogi choco tea at the moment. I was just trying to work out what to have for breakfast. I have some leftover tortilla wraps and some salad that needs using up but I'm trying to work out whether to make spicy kidney bean wraps for my lunch instead.
I might just have a smoothie for breakfast as I defrosted some strawberries in the fridge. Spinach, bananas and oat milk will go in it too.
I don't have anything exciting planned for this week. I think I might just mainly sit at home and read this week especially if the weather is like this. My husband has to go on a work course and he has to print off a form for me at work. I need to clean the bathroom and vacuum today. I have to pick up my prescriptions one day and I have a GP phone appointment too. Oh yeah, we are getting the Sky box moved so we can move the two living rooms around. Payday is this week too, luckily.:)

Good morning everyone,
Good news re baby Brambling, I'm not surprised her parents are wiped out!
Cold, wet and very windy here this morning.
More admin and a bit of housework on the "to do" today.
LOs and fridge bits for lunch. DS2 is cooking lamb keema saag for dinner.0 -
I remembered I had mushrooms, but they looked decidedly dodgy so I had to chuck them. I forgot about them as they were at the back of the fridge and we went out to eat at the weekend.
I just made air fried potatoes with olive oil, chilli powder and paprika and had them with a tomato salad for lunch. It is quite warm outside when I went on my walk and now sunny too. I am going to have a cup of green tea and my protein bar and read some more of the book I started last week.
I will have the wraps tonight.2025 GOALS

Work was manic today, not good to start the week and I came very close to fallen out with a colleague, I bit my tongue and deleted the Skype reply. She was off Thursday and Friday and was interfering with a issue I was managing without the facts or history 😡 I fear tomorrow will be the same
On a more cheerful note I did receive confirmation tomorrow that they were coming to put up my greenhouse tomorrow which is earlier than the first date they reserved 🙂 and I've only 4 days of work before I'm off until the 1st 🙂 one of my sisters is coming up for her annual visit
lunch was LO venison steak and horseradish in a wrap with salad. Dinner bubble and squeak with a fried egg on top and LO broccoli with some lurking black pudding which needed using

Good restraint Brambling! I’ve taken to instantly deleting emails that wind me up before I can even think about drafting a response 🤐
Really good office day today, not entirely what I had planned due to some absences but very productive and some good catch ups. Plus easy journeys both ways and I left pretty much on time this afternoon.
Didn’t take anything for lunch as was supposed to be out for a working lunch, which has been postponed, so popped to sainsburys and bought a duck wrap - it was fine but nothing to write home about, no idea why people waste their money every day on pre-packed sarnies…dinner was a simple reheat of one of the spicy root veg and lentil stew portions out of the freezer (really need to make some room 😬) with a toasted pitta.0 -
Sunny day out, ideal for erecting a greenhouse Brambling, hope it goes well & meets your expectationsHad e-mail first thing, Asda cancel recurring slots over Christmas, so my cunning plan was strangled, however they do have Christmas slots open now for delivery pass holder [that's me], so jumped in quick and have one for AM Friday 23rd, costs £6.50 pick, pack & deliver but worth every penny to me avoiding manic Christmas crowdsI'll amend or delete as the day and offers gets closer, along with my booked W8rose slotAlso, email from Asda, my delivery tomorrow has low or nil stock items, more subs, but time will tell, luckily nothing critical, just stuff like tomato purée & fig rolls, I only added Fig rolls because I saw them mentioned and realised I had not had a FR for yearsMeals today, salmon fillet out to defrostLunch, another corned beef & Branston sarnieDinner, the salmon fillet, fried in EVO & butter, with baby spuds & saladPlus, found some frozen HM bread pud in freezer, a couple of chunks out to defrost for laterEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1

I am just ordering some groceries from Sainsbug's. I had to place an order from Amazon for cat food and some vitamins too.
I have had a cup of tea with oat milk and a toastie with veg cheese and peanut butter as I felt hungry and PB always fills me up. I'm going to read more of my book today.2025 GOALS
