Cooler & dull this morning and maybe rain laterOf course, I've planned for salad todayA bit of a panic earlier today when I checked my e-mails, Asda told me I'd lost my Wednesday slot 'cos I'd not finalised the order in time, being a newbie at this regular reserved slot lark I hadn't realised my order has to be completed before Sunday midnight, with amendments allowed afterwardsAll ended well, slot regained and order now placed with everything showing as in stock, even the coleslaw has appeared overnight, it's one item I do well for subs, I always order the cheapo pleb battery acid stuff & get subbed the posh creamy oneOne portion of LO roast chicken out defrosting for dinnerLunch, another cheese & salad sarnieDinner, as mentioned, cold LO roast chicken with salad & boiled new spudsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Glad you had a good few days JKS.
Raining this morning though it's supposed to clear up later.
Some dirty b*gger didn't clear up after their poochat our back date and DS2 and Hector trod on it so there's extra washing to try and get dry today.
My surgery has mucked up my repeat prescription so I'm running out of meds despite it being requested on the 12th. I'm not a happy bunny!
LO pork with salad in a wrap for lunch and cauliflower & macaroni cheese for dinner.0 -
Day one back at work successfully completed, wfh so could catch up in peace. Don’t seem to have missed any dramas and not a ridiculous number of emails waiting for me 😀
Lunch was scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast. Ham and mushroom pesto pasta with broccoli tonight, keeping it easy this week.0 -
Busy work day most of it spent on a Skype call. Lunchtime I call my energy supplier as they emailed to say they were increasing my DD by 50%, I wasn't happy as I've been £200 in credit since April and had decided to leave it there to help with the winter heating bill, I know currently I'm just paying for what I'm using but as I explained with my £200 credit and the government £400 I'll wait until I use that £600 before increasing my DD 😡 the web site didn't allow me to bring the amount back down to what it currently was. I just need to check that they have done it
my sister popped around a gammon to cook in my pressure cooker to take for dinner tonight so between that and the telephone call, lunch was cheese and crackers before my 2.15pm call.My nephew's birthday today so family dinner at a family friends house, the 'children' grew up together, there were 9 of us plus the baby, who was happy to be passed aroundroast chicken and gammon followed by raspberry pavlova and birthday cake

Rain arrived at last yesterday afternoon, real wetting rain.I could almost hear the garden sighing in relief, it was my son & family that triggered it, they went up to London yesterday, usual Natural History, Tate etc, and of course they went up in shorts & T-shirts, but I think they missed the rain anywayToday starting dull but mild, so meals are a bit don't know yet, could be salad or could be nuked LO stewI forgot to add eggs to my Asda order, just tried, but it's slow & unresponsive right now. It's not a big deal if I don't add them, just convenience reallyCaron, hope your repeat prescription got sorted, that has always been a bit of a worry to me but so far not a problem. Is yours on some auto-repeat, or do you have to ask / remind them every time supplies get low? I have to ask via pharmacy, which so far has always workedLunch, fried egg sarnie to use up OOD eggsDinner, as above, not sure yetEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Meds eventually sorted, I couldn't get through to the surgery so resorted to a ring round the local pharmacies. For reasons unknown they were at the one on the outskirts of town! Farway I've opted out of auto repeat as I don't always need the same stuff so order electronically via the surgery. It usually works well but there was a blip with my recent antibiotic too so I think I'll need to call them. The e-doc clearly shows my local pharmacy.
Grey and drizzling here.
Domestics and admin on my "to do" today.
My sis and nephew are coming for dinner, I've a pot of chilli con carne ready to finish cooking later.
LOs (as usual lol) for lunch.0 -
Grey and damp day here, as you say Farway great for the garden 🙂
After my visit to the farm shop Saturday I had removed items from my SM delivery, I added stuff for my sister and between us we made up the minimum spend, needed to stock upon store cupboard basics. No subs of N/As the driver was surprised as I was 😁 I think the benefit of Tuesday delivery
lunch was a couple of slices of LO gammon I took as payment for cooking it yesterday 😁 with coleslaw and the last of my watercress. I seem to have a glut of eggs so dinner was cheese and omelette, chips and frozen veg.

Exhausted tonight, spent most of the day on a training course plus had a couple of meetings. Swimming this evening so should sleep well 🙃
Lunch was Mediterranean grains (Lidl pouch) with tuna, cucumber and roasted peppers. Quick beans with toast before swimming tonight.
Celebrity Masterchef is hilarious tonight, some very odd combinations 🤔0 -
Good morning everyone,
DS1 has just sent me a video of a torrential rain storm in Athens, it's to be stormy until the weekend. They fly back on Sunday but thankfully the weather was glorious when they were in Tinos last week.
Grey and damp here but supposed to improve as the day goes on.
I've still to catch up with Celeb Masterchef but watched the new JO that was shown on Monday last night. The first dish made was ideal for CFO.Mushroom carbonara | Jamie Oliver recipes
LO chilli and salad for lunch. DS2 is cooking tonight our favourite Chicken Chasni.0 -
Asda delivery on time, with three subs, the usual sub of washing up liquid instead of D/w rinse aid, posh dried herbs instead of cheap dust & stalks, and mixed leaves in place of lettuce. My cunning coleslaw sub plan failed & I have the cheap stuff I ordered this weekI kept two subs & was intending sending the washing up liquid back, but it had leaked in the delivery tray, so it went back anyway. Luckily it had only leaked over some jars, so a swill under the tap sorted them outWith subbing mixed leaves for whole lettuce, I've decided on another salad tonight and have a gouty salmon fillet defrosting, been frozen since last August so need using TBHLunch, cheese & mixed salad leaves sarnieDinner, the defrosted salmon fried in EVO & butter, with salad and LO boiled spuds re cooked in the AF chip style roast sort of, never tried that before but waste not etc.Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
