    Good morning everyone,
Hope the foot continues to improve Brambling.
Pouring here today though supposed to dry up later.
Pooch is back this afternoon for another sleepover. He'll be very reluctant to be walked if it's still tipping it down!
Tesco due soon - no subs.  Once I've stashed the shopping I really should do some ironing.
Toastie I think for lunch and usual Friday freezer rake for dinner.

    Good morning everyone,
Hope birthday dinner went well Brambling
    Bright and sunny this morning.
I'm having a slight stand off with pooch, he headed to the garden first thing and doesn't want to come in. His breakfast is in the kitchen, he wants fed but doesn't want to come in case I don't let him back out, not an issue today with the good weather but he doesn't know that. I'm not taking his food outdoors!
CFO this evening and dinner is tbc. Last night I ended up with a bits and bobs frittata served on a toasted focaccia roll which I really enjoyed. I suspect tonight may well be on a similar vein.

Started well with sunshine, but has since turned dull & showers, of course I had watered the pots first thing this morning in the sunshine

Still umming & ahhing over the W8rose shopping, found out I’m nearly out of baking powder as I made the banana loaf,  must add it  before I forget.

Just checked, 65p for 170g Asda own, £1 for 160g W8rose own.  Not a hard decision to be made is it?

Involuntary cleaning of bathroom this morning, started with a nose bleed dripping on my keyboard, finished up with bathroom looking like an abattoir. Problem is with my anti blood clot tablets any slight bleed takes a while to stop.  Stopped now and trying to avoid bending down in case it triggers it again

Lunch was last of the HM burgers plus slice of banana loaf

Dinner, defrosting a YS M & S MFO chicken breast in red wine sauce with buttery mash, carrots & peas.

Gradually clearing freezer space to restock with posh meat, I may use the local online one or maybe Farm shop, or Mark’s, I do want to look at it before I buy although the online one has always been good [and pricey]

I trust pooch got his breakfast in te end Caron? Obviously he's not a Labrador or you'd never get him out of the kitchen

Glad you got the nosebleed stemmed Farway.
Yes, though he held out for while before coming in the scoff the lot pdq around 11.30am. Thought we might have the same for his dinner but he was straight in! He's just left with my slightly tipsy sis whose day out seems to have been a good 'un lol.
Boned but not skinned herby chicken thighs with salad in another of the focaccia rolls for dinner. A gammon joint is defrosting to slow cook tomorrow.

Lovely birthday dinner last night thank Caronc  :) my nephew made me my favourite lemon drizzle cake for dessert  😋 I found a old pair of moccasin slippers to wear and then got told off for driving and not asking for a lift 🙄

some idiot set her alarm clock this morning 🙄 so a earlier than planned  awakening as his lordship takes that as his breakfast gong 🙂 then a pottering day at home with a nice long telephone call from my eldest sister, unfortunately after over two years of lockdown they have both had CV, caught by my BIL in hospital 😐 my sister caught it after they sent him home still positive.  She isn't too bad although still coughing but he's not so good but that probably isn't helped by a chest infection before he caught it and he  is finding even walking up the garden too much

My shopping arrived with only one sub which was baby pak choi rather than the cheaper pack I had ordered, it is my first delivery since January

lunch was the last of my salad (a little sad) with some LO potato salad with cheese and crab sticks. I defrosted some salmon for dinner but didn't fancy it so dinner has been some fresh pineapple and melon followed by some Greek yoghurt, salmon will be ok for tomorrow

Good evening everyone. Back from a week or so of being cooked for and the odd bit of eating out 😉

Had a lovely time with family, been on a spa day, done some catch up type chores/life admin and generally chilled out. Plus garden work is coming on really well 😀

So, CFO…lunch was avocado and scrambled eggs on toast. Sea bass tonight with chorizo salsa, spring onion mash and peas.

Hoping the sun stays around to ease me back into work next week!

Hot sun this morning, should be a good day for those out & about in the fresh air

I’ve already had a potter in the conservatory, planting up the tomatoes and the Burpless cucumbers and now all set for home grown salad stuff. Even my new venture of growing Little Gem lettuce seems to be working so far, as in they haven’t died yet

Taken a YS M & S veg curry out to defrost & nuke for CBA dinner tonight

Lunch will be grilled cheese on toast, with piccalilli I think

    Good morning everyone,
Glad you had a good break JKS and a lovely meal (and cake) Brambling.
Mild but overcast here today, it's supposed to stay dry but I'm not convinced. DS1 and DIL-to-be are popping by this afternoon and I hope to rope DS2 into some more garden pot shifting and setting up staging so I can start hardening off the bedding plants.
I have a touch of the sniffles not sure if it's hay fever or a cold but I'm very croaky.
LO chicken for lunch and slow cooked gammon with various veg for dinner.

    I hope you're feeling better Caronc  :)

Sounds like you had a good great JKS 🙂

Nice weather today, unfortunately gardening had to wait

I'm not sure if it was something done by the engineer fitting my smart meter last week but I've no hot water at the moment and when i put it on the radiators got hot instead 🤔 Im overdue a service so will call out my guy tomorrow, the boiler is 17 so I'm hoping it's not going to cost me too much

Lunch was a hummus and carrot wrap. Dinner was pan fried salmon with salad and a vegetable slaw

Lovely break thanks. I too am a bit croaky (and sniffly), I blame slowing down and relaxing 🙃

Still not much actual cooking going on here 😂

Out for roast dinner at lunchtime so picky tea/tapas and a glass of wine this evening. I have made 3 days worth of packed lunches (going to be one of those weeks I fear) and prepped some melon and mango for breakfasts and snacks. Love the feeling that summer might actually be on its way 🤞🌞
