Another nice day here just unfortunate I had to work 😐 although TBH it wasn't a manic day, just busy enough to make the day go fast and a 5 o'clock finish  :)

egg and cheese salad for lunch using the last of the eggs which needed using.  Dinner with LO lamb bhunda from Saturday with rice so nice and easy.  The last of the sauce Has been frozen, there wasn't much much meat but it will do on a jacket spud or something similar

Strange kind of a day, got quite a lot done and it was mostly quiet and calm but couldn’t seem to settle properly and kept having the feeling that there was a big, important task I had forgotten about…never discovered it!

Lunch was roasted butternut with wild rice and feta, used the lemon flavoured rape seed oil as a dressing again 😋

Made a chorizo and butter bean stew tonight, served with hunk of sourdough for dipping and tenderstem broccoli for greenery.

Rain to start the day but sun’s out now and looking set to stay for the Easter hols, not that I’m off anywhere but at least the workers can have a nice sunny break

The YS Mark’s lamb leg has lasted well, still pickings on it for today, I’ll see how much I get off and perhaps make a pasty or something, or more likely pick & nibble as I go

Asda message for tomorrow’s delivery, they are running out of stuff , like cheapo corned beef, Greek yoghurt & parsnips so I’m expecting subs for tomorrow, none of it is critical and could be back in stock by tomorrow anyway.

W8rose start their new offers this week so next on line shop could be from them anyway depends on what offers there are TBH.

With price of fuel etc. rocketing I may plunge in and buy an annual delivery ticket from Asda before price increases to match fuel costs. I had one during lockdown & that worked just fine

Meals today more toast + spread for lunch

Dinner, I’ve taken HM beef stew + dumplings out to defrost so a quick nuke will sort that out

As per usual Farway shared the rain with me :D  it reached us after lunch, not very heavy just e to be grey and dull

lunch was a beef salad sandwich with horseradish.  Dinner was more beef this time with LO veg from Sunday to make a mid week roast.  There is enough beef for lunch tomorrow

  • Bit damp here first thing but then dried up and the sun came out. Had to take my coat off when I walked into town at lunchtime 🙃

Very much easy, “nursery” food here today - posh fishfinger sandwich for lunch and early tea of beans with toast before swimming.

Nice non-eventful work day with quite a lot of little bits off the to-do list, good job as two busy meeting days coming up now…at least there is a 4-day weekend at the end of it 😊

Today is Asda delivery day, no muesli and subs for celery & deodorant; I think the deod will be going back because it’s smaller size for same price, once they went up instead of down in sizes / price, I reckon same with the muesli, I went for cheapo but OOS, bet they could’ve popped some Alpen in but chose not to. However good news is all my on offer Pukka pies are on the way

Bit gloomy weather again today, ideal weather for a Pukka pie dinner

My delivery is around noon so lunch will be something quick when time allows, bread will form part of it

Dinner, depending on BBE dates with the delivery could be a Pukka pie, HM mash & baked beans, or maybe steak, eggs & HM AF chips

    Good morning everyone,
AWOL yesterday as realised I hadn't posted after I went to bed.
Catch up with my friends was lovely and as it was a grey, wet day the ham & lentil soup hit the spot.
Still raining this morning but it is supposed to dry up.
My sister is coming over for dinner this evening - Cajun spiced chicken thighs, baked spuds, salad and HM coleslaw. Lunch will be some more of the soup.

Weather is definitely warmer again today, I think we are forecast a nice Easter weekend  :)

Busy work day  :| the team email box was manic two coming in for every one dealt with this morning 🙄 and after a 90 min meeting they were back up to 35. I think everyone is trying to clear stuff before Easter.  A last minute call at 5.10pm meant we were all on a Skype call at 6pm 🙄  trying to track down the on call IT guy before the system fell over. Only one more day 😁

lunch was a small cheese and tomato pizza from the freezer with added toppings and cheese. I brought a couple in Sainsbobs chilled for less than £1 for two and froze them. They just fit in the AF

Dinner was a portion of puy lentils and veg from the freezer with some bacon

  • Ugh, spent all day in two looonngg meetings. The sun was out on and off but very April showers weather here. Another one glad of one more day before a few off 🙃

Lunch was the second half of the wild rice, butternut and feta salad. Use it up dinner of portion of risotto and small piece of salmon from the freezer with the end of the tenderstem.

So I bought a pressure cooker today down at Lidl (Tefal Secure 5 Neo 6 litre @ £35)

Any site where I can download pressure cooker recipes.  I've picked up a number on the BBC website and other online sites but it would be nice to have an ebook or suchlike of pressure cooker recipes.
I remember using the old style ones but that's more than 45 years ago. Who knows I might save a few £ in the process

Of course if you want to pass on a few hints and tips - I'm all ears
