I walked for quite a while this morning as I went to a charity shop and according to my pedometer I did 9,000 steps. I was starving when I got home and I had bought a vegan steak bake from Gregg's and that was devoured. :D

I had toast and Marmite for lunch along with a smoothie. I have leftover roasted veg pasta for later.
Must be some sort of conspiracy, I keep reading & hearing Marmite lately and thinking I will succumb over the weekend, but is the near used jar in the pantry a false memory?
I'm not going to look because it could a big let down, I'll wait

I read recently that you can now buy Marmite flavoured houmous!!! :D

I did exercise this morning and have been stuffing my face today *sigh*

I saw lots of Marmite peanut butter in the OOD Warehouse - which means it's harder to shift than they thought else it wouldn't be in there.

'morning folks, nice sunny day ahead, which is just as well because my swimming son in law is 2 man relay swimming across from Old Harry Rocks [Dorset] to the Needles at this very moment

I had a starving moment last night, even after diner of salmon salad. It was cheese & crackers, then later a bowl of muesli, and then some chocs. Pig
Nothing planned for today, leaving the grass cutting for now
Lunch will be use up LO beans on stale bread toast
Dinner, another salad after last night's pigging I think, with cheesy baked spud & boiled eggs

Doesn't sound very nice so no wonder, and I hate Homous so I'll skip the Marmite option as well
I checked & there is a nearly empty jar of Marmite loitering, as we all know you can always get more Marmite out of a jar so my wishes will be fulfilled sometime soon
    In fact, change of menu

    Lunch, Marmite toast
Dinner, LO beans in baked spud + salad

    Good morning everyone,
Toast with Marmite and sliced tomatoes is a frequent breakfast for me. Can't say I've ever been tempted to buy any of the Marmite flavoured stuff.
Still very wintry here today though dry(ish) just now. I'm hoping my son will take some garden refuse to the dump today as the brown bin is full and have a few other bits and bobs that need disposing of so will get them organised. May as well fill the car if he's going  .
Pork loin schnitzel from the new JO book for dinner tonight though with crispy potato cubes rather than the potato salad suggested to have with it. BLT wrap for lunch.

Bottom of my road. When I say "beach" I go down the road and that's my view.

Breakfast was 2 scrambled eggs and 2 toast, splash of brown. Nearly out of brown - in my own home I'd have already got a spare in the cupboard, that I'd have bought 1-2 months ago. As it is I was leaving it until the last minute due to space constraints. I still have 1/3rd of a cheesecake in the fridge to be eaten today. There's a possibility I might knock up a 2 burger cheeseburger in a flatbread later, have to see how that idea goes. Might think of something else instead.

EDIT: I went down to make the cheeseburger, that was the last of those - and spotted the cheesecake so brought the box up to my room to scoff.  Lunch was, therefore, a two course lunch of cheeseburger/ketchup & cheesecake.

    Also had some sweeties.
  • I can't imagine what PB and Marmite would taste like mixed together!

I had a smoothie for breakfast. It's my favourite at the moment, the juice of two oranges, a banana and almond milk. I had a teaspoon of PB too.

I had the second YS Coop meal for lunch. It tasted better than last time but I don't think I will bother with it again.

Not a breakfast option for me but toms & Marmite do go well together. I very nearly sliced a couple onto my lunchtime T & M slices
I found LO JO style pasta & cauli hiding in fridge, and it's now crossed my mind a bit of Marmite stirred in could liven it up a bit for tomorrow's lunch.
At least it will look like something other than cold lumpy wallpaper paste, although stirring brown stuff in may not add to it's visual appeal >:)
I've had Marmite cheese, similar idea to Wensleydale with cranberries. It was OK but more of a gimmick than anything else

I grew up eating brovil on toast rather than marmite but I do keep it in the house and it's good on toast with a fried egg on top and I've just remembered that it makes great roast potatoes 🙂

I also spent some time looking at old harry last week 🙂

Lunch was coronation chicken with salad i prefer it with apricots but only had sultanas but still very nice.  Dinner will use more of the LO chicken not sure what yet maybe chicken risotto but that's not definite and will depend how I feel later

Another sunny day ahead. I had thought about a roast but reckon it'll be salad again with the forecast
SIL completed his swim around 7 last night, DD was feeling seasick and spent a lot of time sleeping on the accompanying boat.
To be fair the sea was lumpy, there's a pic of two heads bobbing about with a "thumbs up" off the Needles, looking very lost in the sea swell
I think it was one way of "getting back on the horse" after his Channel swim disappointment

Meals today are very much use ups now
Lunch will be grilled cheese on toasted stale bread. maybe with piccalilli
    Dinner, salad as mentioned.
I'm going to try & warm up the LO JO cauli pasta combo to accompany it, but if it looks / tastes too awful there isn't a plan B apart from open a tin of ???
