Do you think you are going to have to significantly widen your search area to get something that even halfway meets your needs PN? The thought of another winter in shared accommodation must be soul destroying or are you quite happy to hunker down where you are until the right place in your area(s) comes up?
It's not as if what's for sale is so far off being the one that I'm waiting for a unicorn... it's just they're not the right one.
So I don't know..... if I pick one that's just "it'll have to do", then if the perfect one comes up the week after I move in I'll forever kick myself.
It's not easy, deciding, alone.... but it's not shown itself yet.

Caronc my JO copy has quite a few slips of paper in 🙂 and I've written a few items on my shopping lists for next time.
PN I suppose as long as the rent isn't eating into your purchasing capital you can afford to rent a while longer whilst you wait for the 'one' - I'm assuming your long list must be broken down into 'must haves' and 'prepared to compromise' items.
It turned out a lot warmer than I expected today, I gardened for a couple of hours this morning until it got too warm and went back out about 3pm for another couple. Garden waste bin has gone out full 😁 and the weeds have almost been defeated for now, I need to tackle the stubborn ones growing in the gravel and cracks but will blast them with hot air tomorrow.
Lunch was a cheese and pickle sandwich (unfortunately not toasted) I roasted a chicken for dinner, a YS one from the freezer which was larger than remembered so I put the gammon joint I intended to cook at the same time into the freezer for later. I made Boulangere potatoes and celeriac, roasted parsnips and had with HG carrots. I did take a courgette and patty pan out of the fridge but put them back in again. LO chicken will appear in on my plate for a while

If Number 1 went on at £300k and dropped to £290k and then £280k .... number 3 will probably come onto the market at £285k as agents will already know that £300k and £290k weren't making any headway
I might not like number 1 as it's on the corner.... but number 3 would be fine.
With the market going up, before, number 1 would've stayed at £300k and sold at £290-300k and number 3 would've come on at £310-320k just because everybody always asks more than the last one.2 -
Exciting day ahead, not. Main task is clean the air fryer. I did say it was excitingI could mow the grass but CBA, weather is set fair ahead so plenty of opportunities should I find myself in the moodThe LO gammon is down to the last knockings now, today's lunchtime cheese n ham toastie will see it gone. Hoo bl00dy Ray!At last I have an iceberg lettuce, neighbour returned with one last night.Dinner will be the delayed from Monday saladI've some "baby" spuds from my Ice£and delivery, I'll boil them to have with a defrosting salmon fillet and usual salad bits, still using my own tomatoesPS, good YS catch there PNEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens4

Good afternoon,
I think that sums up why you need your own space PN even if it's not perfect! I couldn't cope with shared living so admire you for sticking it out!
It's like winter here today, I can see the stove being lit late afternoon instead of mid-evening! Groceries have been delivered and put away. It was big shop this week as several household items seemed to be running out at the same time. I'm pooped now after lugging it all from the porch, wiping it down and putting it away. My son would've helped but was in a Zoom meeting so couldn't get away. Unless the weather improves I can't see me straying this afternoon, the sofa and my kindle sound very appealing. Dinner is tbc, my son might get a chippy and I'll do my own thing. I'll see what he fancies later. HM spicy lentil and sweet potato soup from the freezer and a salad sarnie for lunch.3 -
I walked for quite a while this morning as I went to a charity shop and according to my pedometer I did 9,000 steps. I was starving when I got home and I had bought a vegan steak bake from Gregg's and that was devoured.
I had toast and Marmite for lunch along with a smoothie. I have leftover roasted veg pasta for later.3 -

Breakfast today was 3 scrambled eggs & 2 toast.
Lunch was the pasty + the beans/sausages on the side, just to get rid of them both really, rather than making two meals of it and being locked into having the beans/sausages on toast later.
Next problem: I bought a frozen cheesecake on Wednesday, popped it in the fridge, but had food overload since and not cut into it yet. I'd usually cut it into four portions, eaten over three days.... but I think I'll cut it into three pieces later and eat it today and tomorrow. So that's tea today sorted: cheesecake.3 -

Mostly a quiet day I managed to 'upset' my shoulders and hand joints gardening yesterday so kept away from it today
my left shoulder was grumbling when I was away so it's not a surprise. I had some slightly bendy veg left from before my holiday so finely chopped it and made a couple of 'soup' packs and a celery, carrot & onion pack for the freezer as well as making courgetti with my julienne tool (no fancy tool here just a £3 hand one) using up 3 of the normal size courgettes I'm ignoring the marrow size courgette for the moment 🙂. Other than that I've caught up on some Tv, podcasts, books and sewing
I decided to visit W8itrose tonight when it was quiet and managed to spent more than I needed to use my voucher, but that did include haddock, salmon and mince all YS £1.50 the fish was £5 each and one of their on offer half price chickens also £1.50 YS (usually £6+ full price) as well as some YS veg. I also acquired baking ingredientswhen I'm trying to be good
lunch was a chicken salad and dinner was also using LOs from last night to make another chicken roast dinner. I made coronation chicken which I think needs to mature and will have that for lunch tomorrow with either salad or jacket potato dinner will also include chickenLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin3
