Good afternoon,
I've not been out at all since lock down began! The last place I went was the library just a few days before they and the schools closed. Thank goodness I have a decent sized garden 😁.
Sunny but chilly here today though it is supposed to rain again later. This morning I gave the downstairs a thorough hoover, a quick dust and have just finished mopping the floors. That will do me for today though if it stays dry I might potter about for a bit in the garden. I'm hoping my bedding plant plugs will arrive at some point next week and I need to get organised to get some of the veggie plants currently indoors out to the deck to harden off so I have room in the conservatory for the new ones. Lunch was a delicious cheese and ham toastie with baby plum toms and grapes. Dinner tonight is tbc I think my son might get a chippy which I won't bother with though I will no doubt pinch a few chips 😉.5 -
Not much cooking for me today; found some pizza slices lurking in the freezer and will add to the last of the salad I prepped a couple of days ago. My normal porridge for breakfast and a 'bendy veg' soup for lunch. I have used up so many things from the bottom of the freezer that I had totally forgotten about but going forward I am going to label all those little left overs, I realize my memory and recall ability does not extend to bags and boxes of things I have frozen!!4

I'm working towards chips, but had pretty much decided today wasn't going to be the day... maybe tomorrow.
So far today I've had: 6 grapes, a cucumber sandwich, some pastille sweets, a flatbread, a noodle pot. I'm not hungry, although my tummy does make strange noises sometimes... I think that's just greedI might have a jam sandwich later, or maybe paste... I won't know until I get a notion to do it.

Good evening everyone,
I think all us CFOers have had UFO freezer moments threepenny_bit
I'm CFO tonightas my son has a chippy tea (and I didn't pinch any chips lol) and is now holed up in the dining room online with his pals playing online UNO. I've no idea what that involves but suspect a hangover may be the end result!
I've liberated some savoury mince & mash from the freezer for dinner which I'm about to have with mushrooms, green & broad beans. The beans are from last year's crop which is almost exhausted so fingers crossed for a good harvest this year.

UFO freezer food just makes for more exiting meal times 😁 as long as you weren't expecting savoury and get sweet
We had thunder today to go with heavy rain my poor tulips are about to give up 😐 unfortunately it means the weeds are springing up again.
One of the local pubs has set up a mini shop which includes plants (not just summer bedding) so I've a timed slot to go and see if I can pick up some to fill the gaps in the garden where I had some euphorbias removed, they cause me allergic reactions. I'll see if I can pick up a bag of compost for a elderly friend as I'm being guilted into giving her a bag of mineI'll time it to visit the farm shop as it is on its way back from there. My fridge tells me I haven't eaten so much veg as usual this week so it's just a top up required tomorrow and I must do better next week, I'm feeling sluggish because of too much wheat and not enough veg this week my body doesn't allow me to get away with it for long
lunch was the salmon I didn't eat last night pan fried with a watercress in the last of the wraps, dinner was a spicy veggie burger (wheat again 🙄) with air fried chips and supper will be a couple of rennie

Very uncertain what I'm eating today. With all the recent talk of meatloaf I delved deep last night & found some Ice£land YS mince, BBE Feb 2019.Defrosted overnight and may become a meatloaf or just burgers as I also found ciabatta rolls in there and they're also defrosting.Either way I've softened up an onion, It's looking like a HM burger for lunch at least, Dinner TBD but will involve minceI've lately been fancying some change of cheese, before CV I used to buy alternative's to Cheddar on my L or W8rose mooching. there was a thread on MSE about local cheeses etc, so went mad & bought on line a selection of "Save British Cheese" this morning, now sold out, I'll need to get some crackers in next week, delivery's not for a week yet. It does sound tasty even though I've never heard of them.Bit warmer outside, and forecast is rain free, could be more French beans going out todayGardener’s pest is chef’s escargot4

I've woken up with a blocked nose and a cough. Great. I bet it was from my husband's job as I've barely been out the past few weeks. I hope it is just a cold.
I had half a vegan pizza for breakfast because why not.3 -
When there was talk of stockpiling and I didn't know what was going to happen next, but I was/am unable to plan food like other people.... I happened to be in the out of date food place and saw a box of 10 sachets of Morries' instant potato/onion. I do like instant mash... but had never tried theirs (too tight to pay 50p/pack) https://groceries.morrisons.com/products/morrisons-instant-potato-onion-mash-110550011
I'd been putting off eating them to be honest - there's 10-12 sachets in the box and I can't remember but I probably paid £2 for the box. This morning though I figured I'd better crack on and give one a go .... it was that or a paste sandwich and I didn't fancy a paste sandwich. So I opened the pack and made it up in a mug,.... OMG it was lovely. I made up the rest of the pack and scoffed that too
Hot, tasty - and, with a belly full of hot potato/onion, it's hard to tell the difference between eating a 20p pack of instant mash -v- having scoffed a £2 portion of chips really.
Highly recommended.4
