Lovely sunny day out, cold wind though. Probably have a quick garden potter, top up the bird bath as it hasn't really rained for about a week.
    Porridge breakfast
Lunch, probably cheese & cuc sarnie
Dinner, I've taken a salmon fillet out to defrost, so I'll fry that in EVO + butter, with HM AF chips & some salad
I've also taken a rump steak ot, defrosting for tomorrow. I'll probably marinate it overnight
'phone call from DS, setting up a whatsapp group for family, moving into this century now, I've sorted FB to work as I want, fingers crossed for WA

I had toast, marg and marmite when I got up and then I had some crisps and some sweets. I read that the drumsticks sweets are now vegan so I got my husband to buy me some. :p

I'm going to have porridge with berries for lunch. I have run out of oat milk so I haven't had my usual cup of tea.

I'm probably going to make spaghetti for dinner with olive oil, garlic, cherry tomatoes and spinach.

    Good afternoon everyone,
For Mother's day we are doing a virtual family dinner with my kids connecting via video link and themed use what we all already have in. It's seafood/fish starter, followed by chicken then a custard/milk based pud. We're making prawn bisque then a chook, chorizo and spud bake followed by panacotta with a kirsch /tinned cherry sauce. We'll all eat at the same time connected by video link. It will be interesting to see what the kids make. Tonight my sis is making lamb kebabs with tzakziki, salad and Greek potatoes.
Think I've got what I need out of the way voluntary work wise so not much planned for the rest of the day. Wine will feature tonight🍷

Went for a very short walk in the sunshine, butterflies are out & about & neighbours tree is looking great in the sunshine

Other than breakfast today has been a cooking for two day. Breakfast was croissants for the HT and cereal with yogurt for me.

It feels a bit like we are just floating from one meal to the next.....we have actually done things (indoors) rather than just sit around the house but it still feels strange.

That's sounds like a good idea Caronc  :)  definitely some advantages of modern technology

    Spring is here Farway 😁🌷🌷

i don't think I'll get all my siblings on what's app, the eldest has a basic phone and makes my BIL email on the rare occasion it's needed rather than calling on the land line and another got a smart phone at Christmas and can't use it 🙄 therefore it doesn't get used other than to check her steps so a expensive pedometer 😏

A quiet day although I did clean the grouting in the bathroom, I know how to live at the moment 😉 the floor got washed as well although not with a toothbrush 😳. It's been lovely and sunny but quite windy my towels were washed and dried by lunchtime and got in before they ended up in next door's garden 🌬. I checked in by text with a elderly friend in her 80s who advised that she had walked around for her paper but it was ok as she turned her face away from anyone she walked pass 🙄 when I said I wouldn't come round she said why we're both as vulnerable as each other so it will be ok !!!

I hard boiled a couple of eggs yesterday as they were just passing the float test so had a egg and bacon roll for lunch as I found a couple of rashers of 'good' bacon in the freezer.  Dinner was aifried fried chicken and chips with LO broccoli

Another sunny but windy day, thinking I may sow some mangetout today, or more likely put between damp paper & see what germinates first
Caron,  Whats App, gifs galore, but it's keeping us in virtual touch at least, a quick option to check all's well with us CFO's
Porridge breakfast, my fruit is running down & I'll have to venture out next week to see what the world's like, from the news I'm expecting zombies roaming around as per the Apocalypse style  films :)
Bashed my lump of rump for dinner, now marinading. Not sure what I'll have with it, maybe salad & some AF HM chips?
Lunch, a sarnie again, filling TBD. The loaf is getting stale now so toast is getting more likely from here on

I made tofu scramble with spinach last night and I have leftovers so I am going to make some brown rice and make a vegan "egg" fried rice thing with olive oil, garlic powder and tamari. That will be my brunch. I have some rolls that I might have later with salad and mayo.

My Ocado delivery is coming tomorrow and I can't go in and edit it. Only one lot of loo roll!

I ate about 7 meals yesterday! I really have to go for a walk today and use my trampoline. :D

    It's such a gorgeous day today! :)
