Lol Brambling re the cheeky colleague!!
Sis and nephew are now here to at least the weekend as their plumber is having to self isolate but is trying sort something out to get them a working loo! I'm glad I've been able to help but I think we will all be glad when they can get settled in their own home.
Lentil soup tonight was fab, the bacon ribs from the butcher really gave it a great flavour. My nephew managed 3 large bowls so there's not a lot LO from a full 3.5l SC! I've promised cottage pie tomorrow night so have mince out of the freezer to defrost.

it will be interesting to see after Boris' announcement what the company's policy will be on working from home, i have reminded the boss that I'm considered 'vulnerable' 🦠 then threatened my colleague who said I looked good for over 70 😳

🤣🤣 Mine has just declined some soup, mind he's not long finished scoffing four slices of toast with cheese, a banana and an apple....
I've made a huge pan of mash, much more than I'll need for cottage pie but I'll freeze the rest. I've been MSE and saved the decent peelings to make 'crisps' tomorrow to have with either sausages or chicken thighs. My sis is at a big pow pow meeting at her work to try and work out to maintain their services (24/7 care for very disabled people) and then I think they will be closing all the back of house offices and she'll be working from home. At least I have a room she can use for this where she won't be disrupted. Both my boys are now also WFH and if it continues long term  and his employer suspends site visits etc. my younger lad will probably come here for the duration. My ex appears not to have CV but bronchitis the antibiotics seem to be helping but obviously not a good thing to have if he does get it.
It will be interesting to see what today's briefing will announce.

Into L's on way to volunteering, this time's shop was top up ready for quarantine time. Looked a bit sparse in parts, no loo rolls off course but I've enough anyway. What I had wanted was porridge & spuds, none of them to be found :'( However I did get the Honey & nut flakes in lieu, and some sausage rolls in consolation. Panic bought a MFO roast chicken platter, last on one the freezer, £1.59, not high expectations on that one.
And to while away my 3 months of solitary I bought a bag of compost for pottering in garden. My French beans are up, I think I'll sow more than I had intended this year with the CV some fresh veg in the garden could be handy

My volunteering place is shut for the duration I thnk, all old / vulnerable, I came home early and caught a bit of J Vine, nah, not for me. I can foresee a lot of garden pottering being done
Had neighbour knock last night, he's now working from home, if I need any shopping just let him know. Nice thought

Lunch, having bought fresh tome it was BLT sarnie, last of the bacon
Dinner, Use up, LO cold beef with nuked LO mash, maybe a pickled walnut & some piccalilli to accompany it?

I've been stuffing my face today! I got up at 4 as my husband is on nights and ate two crumpets with jam and a packet of crisps.

When I got up for the second time I had a vegan cheese toastie, some salad and pickles with 4 ryvita crackers, a banana, a chocolate bar and a packet of sweets. Three cups of tea too.

I wish I had hollow legs! It will all go on my hips. :D

@Farway - if you're bored, you can come over and sort my garden out. You won't have to go near anyone to do that! And I can pay you in porridge oats as I have loads and only use them for flapjacks!

I had toast and marmite for breakfast and then a vegan cheese toastie for lunch, not very varied!

I have half a large jacket potato in the fridge and I think I will heat that up and have it with baked beans and salad.

I keep reaching for toast so I am going to start having porridge and fruit for breakfast tomorrow. I am going to put the porridge, blueberries and oat milk in a glass container in the fridge overnight and then just heat it up in the morning.
