    Sunshine again this morning.
Just been on the 'phone to council, missed my garden waste bin, with all the buddlia prunings in, the computer say it was not out for collection, it was out the night before but once computer says "NO" seems that's it.
Official complaint now in but not holding my breath as they have 10 days to respond & next collection is now 11 days away :( At least it will generate some clerical work and metrics for their pie charts

    Porridge breakfast of course
    Lunch, another yummy BLT sarnie
Dinner, I've taken a LO cooked lump of roast beef out and will probably go full on roast with AF roast spuds, my own not Aunt Bessie's, carrots & frozen peas + green beans
PN, I saw the honey / nut flakes in L's but never had bag space last week, will try again tomorrow, be handy if I'm stuck in quarantine
Brambling, lucky you with the reduced plants, I bet there will be a few GCs like that, combination of rain & CV

It's a gorg , sunny day here today.Bonnie dog is skipping around outside like a Spring lamb :)
Am going to do a freezer, fridge n cupboard inventory to see exactly what I need for my online shop next week. Have already had a peep, n no loo rolls, bleach , or baby wipes to be had .I wasn't stockpiling these, just adding them to my regular shop.
Have decided to stop watching all the doom n gloom news for now, cos I get sucked in n very anxious about it all,, which is pointless, as i'm staying safe the best I can at the mo.
Mum's dentist has rung , cancelling her appointment,  n saying they're not treating the over 70's at the moment!
Am making lentil, tomato n garlic spaghetti for tea :)

I had crumpets and jam this morning and then a chip sandwich with some nice pepper mustard I bought today. It was really spicy, delicious.

    That all sounds delicious
My lunchtime BLT hit a snag, the toms had gone squidgy, so I finished up with bacon & brown sauce butty instead. A meal only trumped by W2000's chip butty :)
It's so nice outside I did a mini spot of weeding & feeding some of my potted plants, really Springlike now. I had my lunch in the conservatory, hopefully that will be the trend as says go by, especially if I am confined to barracks under stoppage of shore leave
Spuds washed & prepped ready for AF roasting, I'm not risking the AB's frozen Yorkies in the AF, they came out like beer mats from the oven so guessing even drier if in AF
I'm pleasantly surprised by the local responses to CV, my cleaners have offered, un-asked, to get my shopping for me, and there is a local FB group organising similar for those stuck indoors. Seems it's not all fighting over bog rolls <3  At the moment though I'll carry on popping in L's but playing it as it comes. I'm in there tomorrow, toms, bread & bananas mainly, maybe pick up a MIG welder & an angle grinder as well [jokette] :D

    Good afternoon everyone,
My younger son is safely back in the UK - very jet lagged and feeling the cold but otherwise fine. He's to work from home for a week. Up here their Dad is poorly with possible CV, he's prone to chest infections so the Dr has prescribed antibiotics in case it's his usual bronchial problems. My ex SIL will make sure he's ok.
CFO ended earlier than expected as my sister appeared just after 7am. She had left for work, driven through town and realised her steering felt iffy - she'd a flat tyre! Nephew appeared shortly afterwards as his classes were cancelled and the builders were back at their flat. Not the start to the day I was expecting!!
Lunch was pork pie salad and grapes. For dinner I have bacon ribs, ham stock, veg and lentils in the SC to make soup. It is beginning to smell wonderful and puss keeps walking past and sniffing 😊

Have seen online that some shops are offering early morning opening times, especially for pensioners .Apparently it's timed well before their free bus passes can be used :(

Caronc You have obviously made them too welcomed, too much good food and you'll never be CFO again 😁

Next door's kitty is still here, he came over to wind up another neighbours' dog whilst we were gossiping sharing information tonight.  I've told his lordship he will have to be assertive over the food bowls until he goes 🙄

it will be interesting to see after Boris' announcement what the company's policy will be on working from home, i have reminded the boss that I'm considered 'vulnerable' 🦠 then threatened my colleague who said I looked good for over 70 😳 It was interesting to speak to my overseas colleagues on a conference call, France is ahead of us and the US catching up, we told them last week to buy toilet roll at the weekend 🙂. My Paris colleague was waiting to be told they must stay indoors (she works from home now) and there's talk of military intervention.  During my lovely lunchtime walk (the sun was shining what more can you ask for 🙂 🌞) I popped into W8itrose and treated myself to a bunch of daffodils and tulips I definitely felt the need to be cheered up, they have their £1 daffs at the moment and the tulips were on £3 so worth the money to see them brightening up my lounge 🌷

lunch was some puy lentils with loads of chopped vegetables and some chopped tofu from the freezer (LOs tomorrow 🙂) I didn't get in until 8pm so dinner was a cuppa and a hot cross bun as they were at the till when I brought my flowers, wholemeal so healthier 😉 ( I did share with a colleague at work)
