what kind of pup is she Caronc? so I can live vicariously :rotfl: although I'm still having kitten cuddles when his lordship isn't looking :D

Dull and damp here as well Farway and looks to be the same tomorrow before the rain again  I find cauliflower cheese always works well with gammon :)

I picked up a small YS gammon in Sainsbobs lunchtime, the perils of killing time, but at least I have my missing tablets from Tuesday. I don't think I'll cook it this weekend (well that depends if I can squeeze it in the freezer) I did walk away from a bigger one as that definitely won't have fitted. I picked up a couple of large YS lamb chops which I will have tomorrow for dinner, I love lamb but begrudge paying for it :p and plenty of veg also YS :)

Lunch was some lentil and sweet potato soup from the freezer, I froze the chicken carcess as I had had enough chicken for this week. Dinner will be something with prawns which i took out of the freezer this morning, probably with rice and some of the veggies I've picked up today. I need to menu plan for the week at the weekend as I got out of the habit and I probably should sort the freezer out as I'm sure if it was more organised it would fit better  but I may have a better offer like wash the floors :rotfl:

As I bought flatbreads and doritos today - and fish fingers 2 weeks ago, tonight's tea was: 4 fish fingers, 2 flatbreads, splash of hot ketchup and 3 doritos in each flatbread for added crunch.

Lovely it was. It's so difficult to have 6 doritos though.... either you hold onto some until you want them... or you open a packet and then it's open, so you can hear your name being called.

Just popping in to say the pup is a "cockapoo" Brambling - much more spaniel size and shape than poodle and very, very sweet:). My neighbours just sent me a photo of her curled up round the cat in front of their stove, both snoozing peacefully so it looks as though "d!tente" has been achieved even if it just while the stove is lit :rotfl::rotfl:
We decided in the end to not cook tonight so after servicing his car and visiting his Dad my son has just headed to pick up fish & chips. I've not had a chippy for yonks so looking forward to it.:D

And another dull grey day dawned, no rain though but plenty forecast for week ahead. I'll hold off planting out the primroses I bought in L's yesterday, rain will ruin them at this stage

Nothing planned today, I "could" tidy up the old frazzled climbing beans & nasturtiums in the back garden but cuppa & biscuits in warm is more tempting

Ham will figure extensively today although not in my porridge
    Ham + tom sarnie lunchtime
Return to good old standby dinner, ham, eggs, chips, grilled tom, mushrooms fried in EVO

I've a 2kg approx bag of sprouting spuds which I may just sort out & depending on how they are either boil/mash or bin them

Had an early lunch, as the flatbreads were open and the fish fingers and the pack of doritos... I did another 2 flatbreads, 4 fish fingers, squirt of hot ketchup and 3 doritos in each bread for crunch :)

We just dropped our dogs off at the vet as we are boarding them in for the night and we saw that someone in our street has a new puppy. It looked like a poodle cross of some kind.:)

  • I have had a big bowl of porridge with cocoa powder, almond milk, strawberries, blackberries and hemp seeds.

I made veggie sausage sandwiches when I got in and I've had two cups of tea and an apple.

Nothing more now as I am going out to eat tonight!:D

    Change of dinner menu

Once I'd peeled the sprouting spuds they look OK, variety is Charlotte and probably not a "good masher" so I've decided to make a spud & onion layer bake and probably chuck some cheese in there somewhere

Given the weather, that with the ham & maybe some peas seems like a good hearty hot meal option, with LOs as there's huge pot of spuds
