Sounds awful PN, I'm not the tidiest of people but even I clear up before I go away, storage boxes in your room and some "tupperware" containers in the fridge sounds like a sensible option, even though it's more clutter once you move out, or follow her example & just abandon them when you go, she'll probably not notice by the sound of it;)
Another grey day outside but nothing planned anyway
Just porridge breakfast,
Lunch the other PB baguette with cheese & tom filling
Dinner, I've taken a FR lamb chump chop out to defrost, one of the posh Southdowns ones
I have some LO mash & cooked veg spared from last night's bubble & squeak ensemble so think I'll nuke / warm them up to go with the grilled chopEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
I had some toast and marg and a couple of leftover vegan chicken nuggets for breakfast.
I wanted a cup of proper tea but I have run out of almond milk. I had a herbal tea instead.
I think I will have mash and veggies for lunch as I have potatoes and carrots in the fridge. I have peas, green beans and sweetcorn in the freezer.0 -
Good afternoon,
Sounds awful PN - here's hoping you find a house soon <hugs>
You have to admire the kitten's determination Brambling, he certainly knows what he wants!;)
The worst of the storm has gone though it's taken the mild weather with it - it's baltic. The "wonky donkey" is still kicking in the background but I'm feeling a bit steadier, although it has taken me all morning I have managed to wash & dry my hair and change my bed.:) I've popped my flannel bedding on so should be nice and cosy when the temperature drops to freezing later (assuming the forecast is correct!).
Cauli soup with cheese & crackers for lunch. For dinner I've a tub of spicy chicken & peppers defrosting LO from fajitas made some time ago. If I remember correctly it was very spicy as my son was a bit heavy handed with the chilli. I have some sour cream in the fridge so a dollop will be added to temper it, I'll probably have it with Greek pitta and salad or stir fried veg.0 -
Today, so far I've gone with a couple of strawberry creams (sweeties) for 'breakfast' and a Pot Noodle for lunch. I got the PotN for 50p from Mr T last week, Jerk Chicken flavour. It was .... unexciting.
Could nuke a spud.... really putting off using the nuker though. Maybe tomorrow.
EDIT: Just opened a pack of naans. 1 naan/2 slices of holey cheese, nuke. I do have a small bottle of some fiery ketchup, but CBA to open it and squirt it on the naan.0 -
Good evening everyone,
What difference in the temperature today, I think I'm feeling it more as it's been so mild recently though today has actually been on the warmer side of "normal" for this time of year! It is nice not to have the wind howl and the rain batter down so I really mustn't grumble.
I had long snooze this afternoon which seems to have quietened the "wonky donkey" a good bit so fingers crossed it stays that way.:) After this morning's bendy exertions I really haven't done much else apart from decide on and order a new vacuum sealer. I want to make more use of my sous vide as it's fab for cheaper/tougher cuts of meat but my current sealer really isn't giving a good enough seal to do this. I should have actually replaced it a while ago as it's stupid of me to let an expensive piece of kit lanquish when the sealers are relatively inexpensive to buy.:o I've also got a sort of meal plan drafted to cover the next couple of weeks, despite a laden freezer and lurking fresh odds and end I've got a a Tesco delivery coming tomorrow as I'm low on essential (to me) fresh bits and sundry household stuff. I had hoped to maybe go a bit longer but realistically I last bought any grocery items on 30/12/19 and that was mainly to cover New Year's day so I suppose that's another thing I mustn't grumble about:rotfl:.0 -
Evening all
Another day working from home and I will be as well tomorrowat least it avoids the temporary traffic lights
. Although it's nice once in a while I don't think I would like to do it all the time, maybe a couple of days a week
I made some chicken soup this morning with the stock I made yesterday and had it for lunch, couple more portions for tomorrow and Friday, it was using just one chicken so I added a stock pot and used the meat from one leg as well.
Dinner was a quick one before I popped out, spicy bean burger from the freezer with peas, sweetcorn and HM chipsLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
It's really nice and sunny here today, quite mild as well. It's meant to rain later, right when I'm going out! Typical.
I've been busy decluttering all morning so I only grabbed a roll with marg and just now I had a smoothie. It had mango, berries and spinach in it.
I'm eating out tonight so I probably will only have something light before I go out. I think another bread roll filled with salad and pickles.2025 GOALS

Absolutely tipping it down here since 10 minutes ago. Rods of water straight from the sky, hammering down.
Earlier I had 2 scones, cut in half, dabbed with some orange marmalade. I'd bought both last week. Scones 50p for four (Either 4sda or Mr T), jar of marmalade ~30p. Usually I'd nuke that 10 secs, but CBA.
One thing that is annoying about these (cheap) packs of scones is that whenever I try to slice them in half the top part invariably becomes unstable, making them mucky to eat.0 -
Well completed Kittie 10mls is ideal in such yucky climate, I most effective had time for a brief walk around the park the previous day, a shameful 1.82mls however I'm nonetheless on course for this weeks goal.
Breakfast nowadays was greek yoghurt and stewed apples, I fancy a few prunes the next day so need to don't forget to soak overnight.
I'm going to make lentil soup this morning with the stock from the gammon joint I cooked the day prior to this, I have not made soup for ages and my freezer stocks are becoming a piece low, I get a chunk jittery if there are much less than 5 quantities in there for0 -
Welcome Jonnick99:hello:
Raining here, PN's left overs as usual:)
Into town after porridge breakfast, for YS mooching AM, nothing really, but did remember the frozen chips plus bought a couple of Chinese RMs as I was getting a bit low on the "what can I nuke quickly" options
Lunch, grilled cheese on toast
Dinner, defrosting a FR gammon steak, I'll have some of my new frozen chips, plus fried eggs & mushrooms with it, nice & easy as I have been out at volunteer meeting this afternoon and times shortEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
