    Good morning everyone,

Would donning some rubber gloves to clear & clean a space PN help? I'm not suggesting you clean up her dirty stuff just shift it out of the way so you can chuck some bleach in the sink etc.
Looks as though we have a temporary lull in the horrible weather before "Brendan" hits tomorrow. The showers are still pretty fierce though.
I had a lovely evening with my sis & nephew, we watched "Yesterday" which I thoroughly enjoyed. The SC pork belly went down well, it's all been eaten as was everything else apart from some corn which I cooked extra of as I knew I'd use up.

"Wonky donkey" is a bit quieter today so I'm going to try and get various chores done before the weather pressure flips again as I think it will reappear when it does. Scotch egg & salad for lunch and FR gammon steak for dinner tonight.

No. She'll be back in a couple of days in any case.... and it'll be mayhem again.

I need to simply work out how to eat easiest/cleanest and round her :)

Went out, had half a mind to go to a big Mr T, which I managed to do, but I had forgotten to take a shopping bag as it was "move out of the house immediately, or faff about a bit more and not get round to it".

I was after some fish fingers in there.... came out laden. Spent about £10.99 on mostly tinned foods, their cheap frozen range and sweeties.

    From memory I've got...

2 tins of peas, 1 tin of spicy mixed beans, 1 tin of chilli con carne, 1 tin of chicken curry.
2 boxes of fish fingers, 1 frozen mac cheese, 1 frozen curry/rice, 10 fishcakes, 1 frozen lasagne, four fish steaks in butter sauce. Didn't buy chips as I wasn't sure how large my freezer drawer is, turns out it's quite large as that lot fitted easily.
1 pack of flatbreads, 1 bar of chocolate, 1 pack of midget gems, 4 packs of curry noodles.

I'll work out what to eat later... it'll probably be a fishcake in a flatbread.
  • More roast potatoes for breakfast as I still have loads left! I had them with bread.

I'm ordering the new vegan KFC burger later as I saw I can get it from Just Eat.:T

Their fries aren't suitable for vegans for some stupid reason!

I think I need to have something healthy for dinner, maybe a veggie stir fry?:D

    It's very mild here today.

Spud for dinner problem sorted, found a packet of instant mash lurking, well with in CFO use date [March 2019];)

W2000, KFC fries & vegan, odd isn't it?
Just searched it, seems popcorn chicken is cooked in same fat:eek:, shades of Scottish style deep fried pizzas, pies & burgers, all in the fryer together:p

Hiding with the instant mash was a pack of crumble so I'll get some of my stewed apple out defrosting for a crumble tomorrow. I had returned to making my own crumble & forgot I had this stashed away

Air fryer sorted & ordered, arrives Wednesday, or more likely Tuesday morning when I'm out. Good job you mentioned the basket Caron, now I look closely some do only have a trivet thingy & not removable basket

    I know, it's very annoying!

The website says the KFC beans and the sweetcorn are vegan, but that is not the point, lol. I might send them a compliment about the vegan burger and then a complaint about the fries.:p

    Evening all :)

I think we are meant to get the tail end of Brendan as well Caronc, although it may just miss us as we're a little inland

Today started off wet but cleared and was reasonably mild when I went in to town with my sister. Only a quick trip in as I needed to take something back and she needed a couple of things for work, she did lead me astray in M&S food hall and I picked up two custard tarts for 20p the girl marking them down said she had 40 boxes to do. I did get a text from my nephew to say he knew I had been shopping with her as she had YS food :D. I've taught him well but she misses it, it's not because she doesn't like them she just doesn't see them  I only brought the custard tarts :D

Late lunch was the custard tarts with a cuppa :p. Dinner gammon, chips and loads of LO veg from yesterday. I've some stewed fruit which isn't quite the same as crumble but it'll do :)

Can't take any credit for this it was Brambling;), glad you spotted it in time.:)
Yep most traditional chippies here still fry everything in the one the fryer and if you're lucky they still use dripping to fry. ;) A few though have set up separate veggie friendly ones but generally unless they advertise as doing so it won't be.

No KFC deliveries here, probably just as well as it's my favourite fast food though I last had one in 2015...... :(

The weather is changing again and around an hour ago we had spectacular, though brief, hail storm which seemed to trigger every car alarm in the area. :eek:There must have been a lot folk cursing that they had to venture out to turn them off. It's getting gusty but the skies are clear and I wouldn't be surprised if we got a frost before the storm hits. Needless to say the blooming "donkey" is unamused.

My younger son has restored my old Kenwood Chef - it may well be good for another 50+ years now. :D It's well seeing he's an engineer, as taking it apart, identifying what needed replacing, sourcing the parts and rebuilding it wasn't for the faint hearted. A real labour of love/determination and I'm glad he'll get to enjoy it as it gave me a lot of pleasure over the past 12 years. :D Earlier I gave him a tutorial via various video calls on bread making and he's made a batch of rustic but rather splendid poppy seed knot rolls. With a batch of his "mammy's" recipe lentil soup in his SC that's his lunches sorted out for this week.:) Both my boy's laughed at the time but when they left home I gave them each a notebook full of the recipes for the things I made that were their "favourites" but both admit now they they've had lots of use:cool:. In between "virtual bread making" I might just have had a noodle online and bought another Seasalt dress in the sale:o- one I nearly bought last year but resisted but now with 60% off I couldn't resist any longer;). That'll be my first dent in my 2020 clothes budget but I know I'll wear it as have another in a different colour/pattern that I love:).
Dinner will be ready shortly, gammon steak & pineapple with baked sweet potato and corn cob, then it's the sofa for me with the LO glass of red in the bottle from last night, a bit of TV and an early night. Hopefully the wind won't pick up too much until the morning and there won't be too much banging & crash outside.

Been gnashing teeth last couple of days, not sure why, but it kind of snowballs, so once i'm aware my jaw aches I just have to clench again. Nearly abandoned the idea of the YS lamb curry yesterday, but glad I didn't because it was good, one of the best. And I have LOs for tomorrow. Tonight I had ramen, nice & soft with chorizo cut into tiny pieces. The cat, who is also on drugs, had Mrs Un brave Waitrose on a weekend for deli counter turkey which is the only thing she (the cat) will eat at the moment

Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?

Snap :D although I brought two  one at 60% off On line and the other 75% off when I popped into the shop today and as my sister said at that price  It's very much a summer one but will keep :)
