had. Trifle will be a grown up lemon and raspberry one with limoncello and no jelly :D

I don't think I have ever tried limoncello.
The carrots, peppers & a squash we have to hand will make a soup for Boxing Day (though I'm having bubble & squeak), which means the Richmond vegan sausages were eaten tonight (with some spared for sausage sandwiches tomorrow) with third hand broccoli & carrots.

We were supposed to having the Richmond ones tomorrow but the Asda delivery person brought a different brand, Naked Glory ones. I hope they are nice!
Our xmas day is still TBC , but is certainly based around a Vbites (Redwoods) 'turkey' roast.

    I haven't had that in ages! :)

  • I had the last of the tomato soup with some pasta but it wasn't that nice, I will take the rest of it to the park with the bird food!

I am cooking for two later. We are having jacket potatoes with cheese/vegan cheese and salad. I have loads of potatoes. I think I ordered too much.:p:D

Into town first thing, urgent message from daughter, find a Christmas pudding there are non round her way.

Seems there must have been a pud raid, non round here either, looks like apple crumble for Christmas pud,, which I'd prefer TBH

The roads & shops weren't too bad, maximum YS in Iceland, a bone in turkey crown, half price £9. I wasn't going to bother this year but just couldn't leave that there & then wishing I'd bought it once I got home

Lidl provided stollen, Asda the clementines, very XCFO now.
Lunch was a bacon, lettuce & tom sarnie, followed by mince pie

I've just about fitted the turkey crown into the slow cooker, using a couple of limp carrots as a trivet, with some bacon rashers & onion on it's chest. It's on high at the moment, I'll turn it down later

Dinner, if the turkey is ready it'll be some of that, I've found a BBE 2017 pack of stuffing to go with it, maybe have frozen French Fries, or go traditional turkey & stuffing sarnie, especially as tomorrow is all vegetarian round DD's

  • Things we forgot:

Tin of pineapple rings for sausages on sticks
More garlic for the olive pate, and to roast tomorrow (got four cloves and a tube of puree)
A lemon or two, for the olive pate (we had a very small shrivelled one and added some dried lemon verbena which seemed to do the trick)

Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?

I was given the limoncello Wednesday,I don't really like it as a drink but it's ok in lemony desserts

The nearest I got to a shop today was a quick stop in T Express is on the way back home 6pm from a cuppa with my sister and nephew, the car park was nearly empty and I had realised I was out of tonic. otherwise easy day at home getting last minute things done (wrapping presents ) and finishing some cushion covers for my sister.

Lunch was a quick and easy tuna sandwich using the last of the tin I opened yesterday. Dinner was LO roast lamb and veg, all it required was fresh gravy and pinging

    I haven't had that in ages! :)

Had a bit of a trek getting one this year as Holland & Barrett used to keep that range in stock permanently, but not this year. We ended up ordering one via our local vegan grocer and froze it (we always get it in early)

  • CF3 today. Cat is pretty much back to normal (after sleeping on the bed all night she tried to bite me this morning). A third cup of tea, finish my meds then time to plan kitchen shenanigans. Just toast for breakfast probably, maybe olive pate on it.
