Thanks Karma for the tea and all of my cakes and wishes!
Had a lovely realxing day. Even though I worked for 4 hours plus about an hour of housework, I started early and had a lovely afternoon at the beach with the family.
Lovely to have my tea cooked for me as well. It was delicious. I gave some money to charity for a raffle and won a coupleof prizes which OH stashed away for my present - prosecco and chocs. The boys bought me a football goal (needed as a replacement for one that got smashed) apparently it is a perfect present for me as I am getting really good at football!?
I drank the prosecco but I'm back to tea total again today.
Going to make sure the boys get early nights and be a bit firmer with them, they have started to bicker a bit. I think they are a bit tired and used to irritating each other. Some time apart would be good too so I'll try and work that in.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Thanks the madvix. I was so happy that OH didn't spend money but still found a way to spoil me with chocs and bubbles and a bit of time off.
Feeling very unmotivated to work on his business at the moment. I am procrastinating as I don't really enjoy the work, I don't have enough time to do it to make a good enough stab at it, and it makes me feel anxious as there are sudden changes that seem to happen no matter if I work on it or not. I also don't have enough material to promote.
So to over come these problems:
Minimise work I don't like (automate this? batch it?)
Allocate time - maybe have a catch up on it so I feel more in control. Tell OH that I am not responsible for the results I can only do my best.
Create some of my own material, but be firm with OH about asking for material as he just ignores this request if he hasn't got time and I know very little about the business really.
Weekly meeting?
Today I'm teaching for 3 hours, followed by a routine scan at hospital. Top up shop of a few items. Then I want to see children this afternoon. Maybe tonight I could have a meeting with OH about the business?15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

That sounds good to set out a game plan, since you're contributing to the business. Go for it2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks karma. It's one of those things I need to do but don't really enjoy. It would cost too much to outsource (we tried this before and it was expensive and had the same kind of results I had so no better off).
Awkward student is now in a terrible mood and refusing to take part in activities in class, coming late to breakfast and lunch, pulling faces, shrugging and one word answers. I'm tactically ignoring him as I really don't like him or his petulant selfish attitude. Can't wait for him to be gone but very happy with the other student so giving him lots of praise and thanks. I can ignore it at the moment I think and then try and improve things next week. I would seriously have a chat with your other half about the business it might be more expensive to outsource but is it worth your time if you don’t enjoy it and you could earn from other sources. By all means automate it but it sounds like he has to step up to the plate as it’s his business and I presume he works full time in it. Just my thoughts. You’re doing amazing but I think you work too hard!Save £12k in 25 No 49

Thanks yes we are going to catch up later. I don't think I could bring in enough money to justify the expense of outsourcing. I get a bit fed up of being left with it and then I email results every monday and I never know if they are going to be up or down. or why! I hate the work and then the uncertainty of it all. I like putting work in and then knowing it'll get results!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Had a chat with OH and we have divided up the tasks to do on the business and made up a flow of work so that I am not left with grasping ideas out of thin air. Those of you who saw my youtube vids will know about OHs business, but basically it's well out of my area of expertise!!
I was getting a few comments about not posting youtube vids and was I ok? etc so I paused my account.
Hospital scan yesterday went well - nothing has changedvery happy with that! Dr also said I was slim enough to do an easier scan
Yey to being told I am slim enough to do something!!
Exhausted today. Decided to do a walk and talk as part of my lesson today simply so that I didn't have to look at the annoying faces pulled by my student. It's really hard work - 7 more days now!
They wanted to go to a shopping centre not the one I advised but a bigger one further away, which meant we had less time there and more driving for me. Never mind. Only 3 more excursions. Should be free on Saturday, a few pounds for the remaining 2.
Spent some of my birthday money - £3 on ear plugs for swimming as the waves crash into my ears! £6 on a new bra as I need 2 that fit well and I'm going to throw the rest out - they don't fit so have to go.
I also spent £15 on a pair of tracksuit bottoms for DS2, he earnt £13 of this for his good deeds this past month or so (he gets a marble for various things and saves them up).15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Thanks beanie. I think we can end up with a more negative opinion of ourselves than is helpful. It is nice to be reminded that actually we are ok as we are
Ten mins before the fun starts.
OH and I were chatting last night about other things we could get sorted out to make our lives easier. My thing is making sure the kids bedtime doesn't creep up more than 1 hour in the hols. He disagrees with this, but doesn't do the grumpy morning shift with me, so I win!!
We have also agreed to say the kids can have screen time from 4-6 only. It's been rainy here and with teenagers to copy, they have been a bit screen mad.
I have just realised it's 8 days till we go on our little self catering jaunt to a nearby island. 7 days with the students, 3 days at lunch club, 5 days of the boys football/golf camps in those days.
I'd like to put a bit more effort in, and clear my to do list, including work for OH's business, so that I can relax more on holidayI work so much harder with a deadline and a goal.
