Health
Urgh feeling a bit rough, had a couple of fizzy drinks yesterday as I was thirsty, and a glass of wine with oh on the patio in the sun. Think I just need to say none at all and stick to it as I feel awful next day even if its just a glass.
Got up early to work but ds2 wants to cuddle in and its lovely! Hes six and just so cuddly. One armed typing now!
Wealth
Free day out yesterday apart from petrol. Student excursion too - my last full day one which is ace! Wonderful free kelvingrove museum and gallery, picnic in the park and then open afternoon and the big tennis/health club chain with an outdoor pool which was just brilliant.
Today ds2 wants to go back again to the pool as its on again. I dont have to take the students and can take more time to relax and enjoy myself.
MIL is cooking tea tonight.
Next week I'm working at lunch club mon wed and fri (£100 in - taking students with me so I hope it goes well) plus 15 hours teaching and two more excursions with students. Next weeks excursions should be quite cheap.
My kids have their organised sports activities next week, its worked out well doing it week 4 of hols as although they are not bored when I'm teaching, they have done everything once or twice. I've carpooled the lifts as much as possible.
Got ds1s presents on the pr!me day, £47 spent and a £20 from ds2. Thats still good for a 9 year old I think lots of them are asking for the latest games consoles and phones so I think ds1 has been quite sensible. Headphones, hoodie and shorts. Football from ds2.
I also got him amazing tickets for joseph as a surprise. Can't wait to give him them he'll be so happy.
life well lived
DS2 now into lion king because of the new film! Found 3good tickets in Edingurgh for £60, for my perfect performance in Feb. This is the rest of my birthday money but will be a good present for ds2s birthday - more expensive t han joseph but we will make a cheap weekend of it and stay with a relative and see free things in the capital.
So I really want to get so much done this week so I can relax on hol the weeks after.

Oh no, total blow to all of my financial plans.
Our perfect lodger has got another job and is leaving a week on Thursday.
Not much notice.
I have advertised our room again in the hope of getting a contractor again.
Yesterday with the students and lunch club was hard. Of course they refused to join in, which I expected, but also refused to eat anything, prefering to wait for the food that had been sent special delivery from spain. Beautiful steak pie etc.Total idiot. He refused to do work as well.
I have to take them out this afternoon but I need to get some things so Ill focus on getting my things done.
Nothing is *really* wrong so I will just keep plodding on.

Food sent from Spain.
Words just fail me to be honest.
Not to worry about the lodger.
Sure another one will be along soon

Yes had to pay to get the checks done as well
Feeling totally deflated, I took the lodger money for granted in all of my plans - he told me he had renewed his contact for a year at Easter time.
Hope we get another but until then all my plans on hold. If we are careful we can live within my wage but can't really spend much, never mind dream of travel and experiences.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

My disapointment about losing the lodger has faded a bit and I'm trying to be positive. We *will* get another lodger soon. He or she *will* be easy to get on with. This *wont* stop me from travelling, just delay things slightly.
Feeling really tired at the moment. Doctors said my iron levels were low and I need a course of iron. I'd rather improve with diet but I can't carry on walking through treacle!
Student still very difficult. Both OH and I think he might have something like a demand avoidance syndrome. He actually can't seem to agree to anything - even if he actually probably wants to - so this would explain his behaviour. I'm trying to be patient and kind.
3 more days - lots of teaching tomorrow and an excursion. I have done quite a lot of jobs today and am feeling quite organised. Tomorrow on the excursion I will pick up a few items I need from the £1 shop - banners and balloons for DS1s party.
So I am delaying my travel plans a bit and tightening my belt.
Immediate thoughts on this:
Don't buy anything - Do I need it? can I repurpose something? Can I borrow it?
Diet is going to be a hard one as I want to include more red meat and protein but this is expensive. Cutting out biscuits and wine will reduce the bill. I will see what else I can cut out. I've loved having all our meals prepared and frozen this month it's been so great I'd like to carry on if I can.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
