Beanie help me he is so annoying.
He physically turns his nose up at food. He doesn't disguise his disgust and demands something else. I don't oblige as everyone else is happy (I always do a selection of food, choose your own cereals and toast topping, at least 3sandwich fillings, soup, fruit crisps biscuits etc for lunch and a meal for tea but with another option. Eg fish pie or fish fingers (ds2 eats fish fingers for example) there is always salad and bread, fruit and a dessert.
I can't really do anymore it's a shame his parents cook to order for him (or so he says).
His mum sent sausage and risotto as a gift. He complains if anyone eats it though. Who has eaten this?... err OH as you gave it as a present you arrogant £&@" :mad:15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Can I come for food, it sounds lovely! I wouldn't complain!
Unbelievable though! What a nightmare and what stupid parents to have allowed this to happen! :eek:Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thanks Beanie and Vix. I needed the moral support!
Something worse is happening now which makes this pale into insignificance - I am just ignoring this food rudeness! In a way it's good I can just forget it.
The same boy has started to say things in front of my children that are totally out of order. I told him off for swearing a couple of times and reported this to the company I work for. Yesterday I heard negative sexual references from this boy - about sucking a certain body part - and OH heard racist comments twice. My kids think these teenagers are so cool so this is bound to be influencing them - my youngest is 6.
I was horrified and I am going to report it to the company this morning. In the meantime, I am not going to allow my children to be with them alone - even whilst I am cooking.
I am going to speak to my children and the students a) about the behaviour b) about not going into each others rooms and having space during the day. c) to my children about not being alone.
He doesn't say quite such bad things when we are present.
I can sort this and I am 1 week down out of 3.
I have to see the benefits as well. The pay, the things that we are learning as a family (i.e. how not to behave!) and also the variety of food, experiences the kids wouldn't have if I wasn't working 3 hours per day (the kids were helping a relative to work on the farm and drive a tractor yesterday) and the excusrions that we do - being tourists in our area - is great.
I just need to be firmer with the boy and set up more boundaries.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

I'd insist he was moved on to another home without younger children. He needs to learn the consequences for his inappropriate behaviour."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

Forgot to say my observation and house inspection yesterday was stressful but went very well. I am feeling a lot more relaxed now!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

I think that's a good option for further down the line. I have to communicate the boundaries to him and enforce them - if he doesn't comply he is out.

Sorry but I agree with Pooky.
Moved to another host today.
To think he thinks that that is even remotely acceptable way to behave is just appalling.
