Crying with laughter as I accidently quoted NHS's positive comment about buying MIL a kettle and said 'it means so much to me'... When I meant to quote that she likes my videos - that means so much to me!! OOOPS!!
It may have been a cracking kettle?? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
I'll let you know how we get on - we have stayed in smaller independent caravan parks before but not a big one - this was very cheap with the sun holidays promotion. Really looking forward to getting away from it all.She would get help if she wanted but she doesn't want to. I've messaged her yesterday and today but she's not replying, hopefully just busy/ill and not just wanting me to go away although I can see it's going to get like that unfortunately.Needhelpsaving wrote: »It may have been a cracking kettle?? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

It was a cracking kettle and I'm so pleased NHS liked it!
My friend got back in touch - it's just going to be difficult to manage this role which is a little like my normal job instead of a friend. If I can keep the lines of communication open, I hope it'll be ok.

Thanks so much for your replies!
My friend got in touch towards the end of the week and again today. It's important that she knows that she can ask for help if she needs it but that I don't just take over because I have limited time and I can temporarily help by going in and blitzing things and sorting out the children - but that's not sustainable.
Holiday was great! The first weekend was staying with friends which was lovely and saved us loads of money on hotels. They are visiting us next year. We went to a football match which was the boys big present from Santa. They loved it - the best day of their lives and I just can't describe how elated they were. It was expensive for a day out - really expensive - but it's a memory for life. I'm not really a football fan but to see how happy they were made it one of the best days of my life too.
We didn't get to do any sightseeing in Liverpool and Manchester but thats ok as we can do this in the future - maybe Summer holidays - as we have relatives that live there.
So after that we had a cheap - £100 for 5 days - caravan holiday in North Wales. We managed to do a lot of sight seeing and I cooked 2 meals a day so I got a little break too. On the park the facilties were great so the kids were happy despite the cold and rain and despite a broken finger for ds1 and subsequent afternoon in hospital. He is fine though and didn't let it stop him doing anything.
So now we are back and I have a big list of things I want to get on with but going to take the kids out to a community event just now.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
