Earthgirl's Final Battle

Thanks Karma. I'm feeling fine but I'll be watching closely!
Had a relaxing weekend. Saturday was spent with a playdate and at a local spring show. DS2 entered some craft to the show and won 3 first prizes!
I went to a friends for a catch up on Sturday night.
On Sunday I got another video out - my first one about making money- and it took me ages to edit - 23 minutes long! I think to make more specific titles and make shorter videos!!!
I go out in the garden yesterday afternoon and planted about 100 bulbs. Really hope they produce a beautiful garden this summer. I planted quite a few small pots and I'll use these as little presents. I cooked a really nice mediterranean chicken bake instead of a roast, it was lovely and cheap too. Also was a one pot thing, so I managed to cook two quorn spag bols (one for freezer) and get lunches sorted for the week too.
This week I am focusing on health (eating healthily, running at lunch time), smaller videos and less time editing, more time promoting.
I'm also going to try and keep my energy up to get work done on oHs business. I have a new routine - started last week - and it's working well so I'm keen to get on with it!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Well done to ds2!
I have to giggle at your routines (sorry!). You are like the duracell bunny, never stopping!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
:rotfl: If I need to do something I find a gap for it somewhere so I just call it my routine so that it always gets done.. works for me!
Busy day yesterday, I was working late as I finished early on Friday due to a school commitment for the boys. Same again this Fri/mon so it was great to have tea all ready when I came in, I even managed a quick walk to the beach before tea.
Lots to get on with the week, and no room to fit into my routine  - reports to write, loads of marking, friend to visit.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

I found a few hours yesterday as something went better than expected at work, so I have got the majority of my reports written. I will see if I can visit my friend after school to make the use of the lunch time.
DS1 seems to be forgetting all his tables so I will have to find a way to keep him revising them. I've found a few games he likes so that might work.
Eating sensibly is going well, and although I'd love more time for other things I'm keeping everythign going and the plates are all spinning, just about!!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

I'll visit my friend next week as she and some of the children are ill. Got a gorgeous dress in CS today for £1.
Exercise and eating going ok. Really really tired - quite stress out yesterday so had a chill out night and did some jobs on myself -dDyed my hair, painted my nails. Every little helps when it comes to trying to look smarter!
I've managed to get my work on youtube down to 5 hours per week. I made a new video on saving money on groceries using my new system and it was so much nicer and easier! A 7 or 8 minute vid is so much better and quicker than a 22 minute one. What was I thinking???!
So tomorrow I have a massive catchup marking/filing/reports day planned at work, followed by a thing at the boys school and then their hair cuts. This weekend I have very little planned, so it's a good chance to get organised for our little break to wales /chester/liverpool next weekend.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Good to hear that you've shortened the videos - as well as being easier, I think a length of over 20 minutes would put people off watching, to be honest.
And wow to the self care - that stuff never feels relaxing to me, but more power to your elbow if it feels it to you. I wish!
Ooh, and your break! So much goodness there! Quite a few people living on the Wirral go to the top of Moel Famau for New Year's Eve, apparently its 200 - 300 make the trek.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Yes everything is much better! I am managing to do a little bit of everything at the moment instead of loads of one thing.
I managed to get the reports done at work. Weekly shop done for £27!!
The main great thing about my youtube filming is that I am actually living a much more frugal life because I'm thinking about saving money - instead of just being quite frugal I'm now Mrs Frugal and my two weekly shops have been around £30 for the 4 of us.
School event on internet safety was singularly the worst thing I have ever encountered at school, ran by very incompetent people. Perhaps that's me (and the other parents ) being harsh - most were going to complain about the very dangerous message sent to children. This was children aged 5 - 8 being encouraged to go on messaging services and to use games such as f0rtn1te. Described as 'great' by the person! Apparently the way to deal with it is to encourage them to use it and then keep the lines of communication open. I agree with the latter but do not think kids should be told these are good things for them to be involved with at such as young age. I nearly walked out, but it became so bad that most people just drifted off anyway.
Boys hair cut for £6 in total and they got their pocket money which they spent on football cards. This weekend is going to be spent relaxing, a library trip, a couple of football games on Sunday and a meal at MIL on Sunday night so limited cooking too!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

What a weird message for a school to give, earthgirl! Certainly to such young children.
Have a good weekend.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
