Thanks. Yes my wee lists for morning and night are a revelation to me. Who knew I could be so organised and have everything ready on a morning? Instead of just half of it ready!!

Ds1 came home with a certificate from school which is great, but then had a bad time emotionally at football tonight. I had a stressful day at work.
I've got my second job tomorrow in the morning, so I just need to do s little prep for that, then a shower and relax in bed.

I've decided to ease back into healthy eating rather than expensive protein diet, but do more exercise. If I gain weight I can go back to diet if I need to.

Tomorrow I'm having a relaxing morning, maybe ds1 having a friend to play followed by meeting a friend and children for a free play.

Oh absolutely - making routines for the things that *have* to be done is such a timesaver.

Your day today sounds really nice - enjoy :)

So last night I had this insomnia where I just could not - no matter what I did - fall asleep. I was really distressed about a work case that I had to take action on yesterday. It was so strange because I felt sad and frustrated after work, but ok. Anyway as soon as I tried to go to sleep, I was totally haunted by what happened and what ifs.

I fell asleep at about 4.30 and got up at 5.30 to work. I think I can get through the day though and as most things are done I can just relax and take the kids out later - hopefully I'll just have to sit on the sidelines.

Even though its an early start its really suiting me as I can achieve some money making before the day properly starts!

    Opportunities:
finish anything on my to do list that I feel like doing
do some educational and fun things with the kids

This is the sign of a true MFW addict!! :rotfl: What will you do with yourself next year, when the mortgage is gone?!

Take care today - will you be able to nap later if you need one? And I hope you sleep better tonight (do you have any lavender oil?).

I did have a nap in the afternoon as OH was home, but just enough to see me through and then I've been back to normal sleep since then. I don't have lavender oil no. I'm still looking for a way to recover from what feels like shock..like a car accident that repeats in your head and feels really deeply distressing.

Had a lovely cheap weekend in the end! Visited friend on Saturday and I made crispier cakes instead of buying something to take. Went out for tea at mil on Saturday, then fil paid for our Mother's Day Sunday lunch.

I had presents to give out for various birthdays but they came from store.

Another amazing thing that happened was that We provisionally booked Christmas lunch at the restaurant we ate at yesterday. It'll cost about the same for us (everybody's paying their own) and what a whole lot of pressure it will reduce! It's my turn and it's about 20 people to cook for so for me it's just much better!!

The boys first football matches were brilliant and they seemed to have a good time. Weight off my shoulders. I have had to buy ds1 some shin pads as they were sharing, but will both need on a Sunday. I used vouchers from shop and scan.

Because i was exhausted last night and we still have people staying I didn't do my nighttime routine and it was bedlam this morning!!

Glad you managed to catch up on sleep, but that doesn't sound like a good thing to be coping with. Maybe Karma might have some suggestions for what might help with that? Otherwise, you might find something on the NHS website? CBT maybe? :(

Sounds like a good weekend on the whole though, and great that the boys enjoyed football! The Christmas meal definitely sounds like a sensible option :)

I found an app called cbt-I made for us war veterans. Obviously there is no way my social work type problems equate to anything that a soldier may experience, but the CBT and the sleep ideas are brilliant.

Anyway that's why I'm here, I've scheduled worry time :)

I made a mistake at work today and I owned up and apologised straight away. I'm annoyed at myself as I didn't spot it and stop it happening. In my defense I am only human and I can't remember everything. It doesn't matter and people will forget I made a mistake. Eventually!

I need to have a clearer head st work and get more done outside work do I can concentrate more.

Dealing with it as soon as you find it is absolutely the best path, you're right. But I don't think you're hearing *yourself* when you say you're only human and can't remember everything. Because thats true! It really is! You can't work every moment of every day, and its probably a good idea to not only schedule worry time, but schedule down time/relaxation time too :kisses3:

Ooo thanks for the advice and the kiss! Cheered me up! You are right I don't listen to my own advice sometimes!

Scheduled worry time seems to work gif me as I get it out of the way got 5 mins. When my mind wants to return to it later at bed time I just keep telling myself I've dealt with it and do some relaxation exercises.

The app also suggests a reoccuring bed and wake time so I'll have a go st that too.

    So far so good!
