Search function and double post problem

The following errors occurred with your search:
1. This forum requires that you wait 15 seconds between searches. Please try again in 15 seconds.
Some of us might see this occasionally, but the same thing happens more than 15 seconds later.
Edit: I was also just warned that the thread is a duplicate of one I submitted in the last 5 minutes, so it seems some double submissions are happening on pressing a button once.
Edit 2: duplicate post warning on a separate post I did just now

I just got that when a search was the first thing I did after logging in, it then took 4 further attempts, waiting 15 seconds each time before the search result came up.
I also got a message saying that the new thread I had just posted was a duplicate of one posted by me within the last 5 minutes when in fact it wasn't.
By all means sort out the spammers MSE but don't punnish the real members.0 -
I've been having problems all day.
I've had the message saying that the new thread I had just posted was a duplicate of one posted by me within the last 5 minutes when it wasn't.
The same message but saying that the post I had just posted was a duplicate of one posted by me within the last 5 minutes when it wasn't.
I keep getting a message telling me that I am not authorised to access the page that I'm trying to view.
When I try to thank a post, I get the same error message and then kicked out of the thread.
Plus a few more errors.
I think I'm going to log out, and come back another day.0 -
I just tried to contact the technical team through the messaging service and it won't let me, This is the message that I have just got when I tried to 'like' a post.
Hollyharvey, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:- Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
- If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I've been getting both the duplicated "wait 15 seconds to refresh" and duplicate posts errors all over the weekend 13/14 January.
