Come on, let's keep to the principle of this website of being a place for ordinary consumers to save money, or make money.
Exactly. Hence the need to keep in sight the point that on a pounds per hour basis people would need to invest a considerable amount of time dealing with a switch in order to even come close to the equivalent of their hourly wage.

People have been complaining bitterly that they didn't get their payment on or before the 13th and lost sight of the point that they were the lucky ones who had become eligible for extra money for the sake of an additional phone call, or completing an online form.

If the banks (and other companies) always got things right in the way your post suggests you would prefer then there are plenty of MSE forum members who would be worse off financially... it is a case of getting the right balance between bank perfection and customer gain.

No criticism of the OP is intended, but a 'not worth the hassle' approach is diametrically opposed to MSE principles. All I was suggesting is for the OP (and others) to keep an eye on the prize.

Met all the criteria, existing customer, but didn't get the £125 paid by the 13th.
I complained using the NatWest online complaint form on the 18th, no response yet but I received the £125 switch incentive on the 19th.

Update: no response back from NatWest from the complaint form I submitted, but I then received £25 compensation on the 20th.

Did anyone else get £125 even though their switch didnt go through? I opened a new account, paid in £1500, but my switch into that account from another current account failed (I hadnt updated my address with the previous bank). So I just forgot about this incentive, but noticed a couple of weeks ago they still paid me the £125! Very unexpected.

Been away... see £125 was credited on April 10th. A positive result even if it did require seemingly endless hoops that needed to be jumped through at the time!!

My father has not been paid the incentive. We submitted online compliant over a week ago to date to response.
  • Not sure if anybody else is still having issues, but I've still not received my £125 incentive. I'm definitely eligible and this has been confirmed by 3 of Natwest's team.

I've previously raised 2 complaints, the first because the money wasn't originally paid by 13th april (£25 compensation) and the second because I was getting told different dates about when it would be paid (further £50 compensation). I was last told that it would be by 27th so I've waited patiently, but lo and behold, still nothing paid. A third complaint has been raised this morning.

I've not seen much from other people saying there not received it again, so I'm wondering if I've just slipped through the net? Natwest won't confirm, they won't even explain why it was delayed to begin with.

I'm in the same position as yourself. I have been promised a letter is on its way to me having raised a query. If I don't here this week, I am lodging a formal complaint.

    Phone up Natwest and ask.

Not sure if the complaints team works on Saturdays. If they don't try Monday.

Don't think many other banks will be offering this type of deal,
if they look into this site ?

but who knows, banks are baannks ! with a few letters changed.

got my 125 and still with them after 40 odd years,
don't keep much in them ?
