We had roasted veg, butternut squash, sweet potato and spinach added to the mix today. Slightly smoked salmon (aldi) and roasted new potatoes.
I do enjoy a roast on Sunday but enjoy it more if we dont have one every Sunday if that makes sense.
I made the now soft peaches i bought last week into a small crumble for afters and surprised husband who doesnt like peaches but loved the crumble!

Didn’t get round to making the risotto yesterday, so that’s now for tonight, using up some green veg, asparagus, broadbeans, chard, fried in butter and garlic on top - very slimming 🤣

Got some YS posh sausages at the weekend so last night, and tonight was sausages, gravy, yorkies, roasties, turnip and peas.

The gravelgate continues as I couldn’t get the exact match at homebase or the local garden centre so for the time being I have pinched some from behind the wheelie bin area. I did buy replacement paint. Wish me luck for when his awful weather ends.

Later in the week it is Chinese style pork steaks. Also made Jamie olivers son buddys flapjack biscuits last night to use up some bits – quite crumbly.

  • I'm using leftover snags to make a pasta sauce and have some homemade cobb bread for a side.

A slow cooker job today. Using some of the many carrot and mushrooms from the market. Two pork chops went in as well. We will have it with rice, sadly we've run out of potatoes.
