I chopped some carrot and swede last night which are in water. Will mash those when cooked with a butternut squash and feta tart thing. Not sure what to do with it as don't really want pastry plus potatoes.

We had it with beans. It was butternut squash and goats cheese tart tatin thing. OH didn't like it - there are two portions left...I know what i'll be having tonight and tomorrow then.

  • Just finished the cauli cheese soup for lunch with a cold bratwurst cooked yesterday and some home made croutons made from a staling sourdough loaf.

Grandpickle staying for a few days so we will have omelettes and salad when he's gone to sleep.

On my own so I made macaroni cheese, well five portions of it. Four went in the freezer. It was quite nice, used up a few bits of different cheeses, one of which was smoked.

Well last nights pork chop turns out is tonights pork chop after a traumatic experience at the dentist (jaw still sore) I tentatively had some buttery toast at 10pm last night. I really need to meal plan. Especially for next week, I think on Sunday im going to do some batch cooking and make some lentil soup and maybe some sort of hash. Tonight with the pork it will be turnip peas and a baked tat. I have chicken kievs lurking for later on in the week,

Wrestled some chicken breasts out of the freezer this morning, thinking hunters chicken and salad, jacket potato for DH too.

DH just called he's going to be late, so is grabbing something out - I will have the LO chilli, and Hunters chicken will now be tomorrow;)

Prob a piece of the LO pie thing from the other night OH didn't like (was too busy getting kitted out for Halloween last night for dinner) with LO carrot and swede mash with LO beans.

Think OH is having a Quorn cottage pie.

It's been a stupidly busy week and need to cook some stuff up.
