We're having jacket potato and chilli tonight - nice and easy as the chilli is from a batch in the freezer and I baked the spuds yesterday. The last bit of lemon cheesecake for pud.0

Got the beach bag packed in the van ready for when I pick the kids up from school so I'll grab some burgers & sausages on the way & do a BBQ at the beach.Dwy galon, un dyhead,

No idea tonight - I am out of inspiration atm. Not so much CBA because of the heat but lots of other stuff going on and my brain is fried.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Using up the last bits of various salads I've made over the week, will either open a tin of fish or of corned beef to go with them. It's just too hot to make an effort really.0

We had pizza last night as we didn't get home until late and neither of us could be bothered. Tonight OH is having a chicken breast with baked potato and I will have my spud with cottage cheese and a big salad and some hard boiled eggs.0

I'm baking some beer bread to go with a salad for dinner. I'm yet another one who thinks it's too hot to cook properly!
It's my first time making bread with beer, and have done 2 batches - one with a runnier batter that came out pretty dense and chewy (how my other half likes his bread) and one that's more doughy that I'm letting rise like a traditional bread recipe - hopefully that'll be lighter and fluffier (how I prefer it).0 -
I've had two slices of toast, 4 biccies and a Matzos today...totally carb heavy but really CBA and not all that hungry in this heat.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I'm not well .... (heavy snotty cold, sore throat, glands up) ... and I CBA as it's been soooo hot. Looking at a weather map I've been in the hottest bit of the country. It's still about 80F/~27C here indoors even though the door's been open all day and the curtains closed.
But, on the basis I wasn't feeling well, I dragged myself out for "random nibbles shopping" at L1dl & 4ldi, so I at least had food I could just pick up and scoff.
Today I've managed to put away:
Two slices of cheese/onion quiche (each piece was 1/3rd of the whole)
1 slice of toast with 1/3rd of a jar of shipphams crab paste
About 8 or so fruit pastille sweeties
A corned beef sandwich
A slice of corned beef on its own
The last of a pretty grim tub of choc/mint ice cream
An egg custard tart (3 more in the box to plough through...)
2 flu powders
All the food groups there.... gluttony, piggery and wantonness.
