last night was a meal out on board a floating restaurant. Had to catch a boat out to it which was fun. Fab seafood feast of oyster, mussels and whole brown crab. Mmmmm

Tonight we are having chicken breast (mine with spicy rub), jersey royals and peas and OH just plain with some oven chips.

Anyway this week I have done a food shop and dinners will involve, toad in the hole and some more pork for roasting. Also samphire as it was on offer. Will get a couple of portions out of it all so that should take me up to the weekend, its shoulder of pork what would you all do with that?

    :money:

Shoulder of pork for me would have to be pulled pork - love it and soooo nice home made - just cook it long and slow. I was lucky that I got to travel in the southern states before pulled everything made it's way over here. Pulled pork in a bun, with slaw and pickles and buttery boiled potatoes...yum!

I would cook pork shoulder in the slow cooker in cider. Or I would make it into pulled pork. (Schwartz do slow cooker pulled pork sachet, often on offer for 50p in places like home bargains)

Wasn't feeling great today, we had planned a day out but I was up for a couple of hours during the night with really bad stomach pain. Just felt a bit washed out today so we stayed at home. I lay on the sofa and husband watched the football, the tennis, the American police dramas.
He warned up the soup from yesterday for our lunch and made dinner.
Dinner for him was salad and new potatoes with leftovers from yesterdays beef and chicken tikka from Saturday, I had a hard boiled egg, a small tin of tuna and some new potatoes. Hopefully normal service will resume tomorrow because I'm back at work on Thursday :(
  • Already cooked quorn chilli, but I don't like it so I'll get something out of the freezer for me :rotfl:

I'm using up a bit more of Sunday's leftover slow cooked lamb tonight, this time shredded into a pilaf along with chopped apricots, toasted pine nuts and lots of lovely spices.
  • Jacket potatoes stuffed with home cooked ham, onions, mushrooms and cheese, served with hm coleslaw and salad. We were going to have chilli, but I don't really fancy that tonight, so it's gone into the freezer for another day. Cheesecake for pud, garnished with a handful of strawberries from the garden.
