@sarahj1986 Ooh you poor things 🫣 so glad you are getting sorted after such an awful experience x thanks for letting us know you are okay x

we have a storeroom project here which started as a help to people in just your position, they sell preloved furniture and white goods, all checked and certified if necessary, there is an additional discount for those on UC etc, might be worth having a nose on your local Facebook page etc.

I’m sure Jack Monroe did a load of recipes for when you don’t have access to a cooker, hope that helps x

@C_J  if I’d known we could have had a pint 😉

chicken kievs.  OH has a tin of potatoes which he has offered to share knowing I don't particularly like them.  There's other things available in the freezer including different veg and I also have a pettypan squash I could do something with.

Mr F is going out to a men's group - first one so no idea of catering arrangements - if he doesn't get fed - he will come home very hungry.
I am having a Frikadellen burger in a flat bottom muffin with some salad leaves.

Thanks all for your kind words it means a lot xx

last night we had a cheeky curry out. We didn’t celebrate my birthday or our wedding last month so delayed celebration, that alongside getting the new place

tonight I got some chicken wings. M&S which everyone raves about had them at £1.50 (I think) for 50g and higher welfare, thought it was worth a try. Marinated in some bbq seasoning and air fried. I’m doing sweet potato and white potato roasties then sweetcorn alongside

Bacon and pea risotto with grano pandano cheese. I’ve done this loads of times, most recently in a microwave and it turned out really well so doing it again
