After being away last weekend for a long weekend of questionable dietry input and bringing a sinus infection home as a souvenir, this week has been a bit of a write off.
So tonight it's mini roastes in the air fryer, peas and some gammon from a whopping RTC piece i picked up yesterday on a rare foray into Morries.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I bought a bulk meat pack from a family-run butcher’s in a nearby town today. It consists of a decent sized topside of beef for Sunday lunch, a bag of minced beef, a bag of beautifully lean braising steak, 4 large chicken breasts, 4 butcher-made beef burgers, 8 butcher-made sausages (I chose 4 venison ones and 4 pork ones), and 4 huuuge pork chops all for £35.
There’s plenty there for most of the month as there’s only two of us and we don’t eat meat every day. Tonight we had burger and chips, and it was so delicious. With only McDonalds for reference, I had completely forgotten that burgers could taste that meaty 😂

I had lots of veggies that needed to be used - so roasted veggies - carrot/celery/courgette/garlic/onion/red peppers with hm chips and whiting tonight. I baked a fruit loaf while the oven was on.

Tonight I’m making pan fried salmon fillets which will be marinated in ginger, soy and miso. Will be served with a side of similarly spiced fried aubergine, shallot, red pepper, chickpeas and spinach (all of which came free from the community fridge yesterday).5

Found a GF fajita kit in the cupboard obv from OH GF phase. 'Little' past it's BB date but was fine, albeit the spices had congealed a bit like an old oxo.
For meat I used some Oomph 'kebab' style meat free meat that has been in the freezer for a bit (YS from iceland a while ago) worked quite well.
@sweetpea26 I'm just about to make some pasta sauce here too.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

OH stopped at a farm shop and bought a lovely chicken and mushroom pie that we had for dinner last night. He also got a load of sausages and is making toad tonight. I'm going to get him to reconsider the number of sausages he is going to use. I think he has a dozen and I'll only eat 2 - 3 absolute max.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
