  • We had ham salad sandwiches for lunch. Tonight's dinner will be a nice piece of beef silverside, roasted medium rare, with roast potatoes, honey roast parsnips, spring greens, carrots, yorkshires and gravy. Have got a rm strawberry trifle that was half price for pud.
  • I'm hoping to defrost the freezer soon, so tonight we're all having something different in an attempt to empty it as much as possible. I'm having quorn fillets with mixed veg, DD will have a chorizo burger, curly fries and some sprouts and DS has declared he's going to tackle the bread mountain in there and will have a massive mound of toast and peanut butter.

Lunch was some boiled bacon from the freezer in a sandwich with mustard pickle.

Dinner tonight will be a chicken traybake with cabbage & green beans on the side.

OH is still on his pasta fest so has had two bowls of that.

I had the last portion of the oxtail casserole with some LO rice from the other night.

Food budget getting tight so trying to use things up before buying more.

Diced beef with onions, tomatoes, garlic and herbs in the slow cooker.
I'll fry an aubergine in olive oil and add it towards the end.

    Served with savoyard potatoes.
