  • Absolute nightmare dealing with Together Energy. Switched supplier in December, yet TE billed me in January AND February. It's now March, and still no final bill. Had to complain to Ombudsman, who have discovered last month that I am owed closed to £300. Still no sign of refund. Avoid this company at all costs. It's a surprise they have not folded yet, with such diabolic standards.

Well, getting the Ombudsman involved had the desired effect and I have now FINALLY - after more than three months - received what was owing to me. I will never deal with Together Energy again and would strongly encourage you to think twice before switching to them, if you have other options.

Good to hear ‘pounds_and_sense’ that you have ‘escaped’
I do wonder what I have got myself into here ?
Trouble is if I attempt to ‘bail out’ now heaven knows what carnage it will create ? add another attempted switch on top of the switch from OS and my heirs and offspring may be trying to sort this out in 2035 ?
  • Absolutely awful. I was a One Select customer, since being moved to TE its been one disaster after another. DD taken without authorisation, no final bill for One Select, no refund of credit with One Select, they don't talk to me unless I call them, total shambles. Currently seeking DD indemnity claim via bank, sent complaints to CEO and Ofgem, preparing dossier for Ombudsman and have contacted BBC Watchdog..............I think Ofgem need to be held to account considering the pre One Select reviews, somebody needs to accept responsibility for this mess!!
  • Like many of the below, I have had appalling service from Together. To be fair, whilst I was a customer it was not too bad, despite their rather clunky site, but I had no real reason to contact them. Since leaving though, a different story. They carried on collecting the DD's which I had not cancelled as I waited for the final bill, and waited and waited. 3 months later it arrived with them owing me nearly £200.00. It is now 5 months later and despite having been promised a refund in between 4 - 10 working days on approximately 4 occasions, and had my case 'escalated', still no payment. I have just raised a complaint with the Ombudsman, who knows how long it will take now.

I too have had to raise a complaint with the ombudsman.
The complaint was raised on 7/3/19.

I left Together Energy in September 2018, and after much chasing I eventually received my final bill on 4-Feb, with a credit of £89 (luckily I had cancelled the direct debit so they couldn't take any more money).

I'm now still trying to get them to pay the credit back to me and they have been promising to pay it for the last 2 months.

I wonder how many people have left Together Energy that don't get a final bill and are owed money? Surely it shouldn't be this difficult?!
  • I was with them for a year and all was OK. But after transferring to another company they didn't send a final bill. Took me 3 months, 8 calls and multiple missed promises on their part to extract it. On the positive side, once I received it they did refund me quickly.
Moral of the story... make sure you are not in credit when you leave them!
  • Hi All,

I was transferred to Together Energy by Ofgem after OneSelect went bust, together with my Credit Balance of over £200 which I have been trying to get back for 3 and a half months. Have issued a summons against them today.
  • I was transferred from One Select after they went out of business in December 2018 to this awful company. They have been useless from the outset. I provided Together Energy with meter readings in December 2018 but they failed to provide me with any bills despite requests. I was already in credit with One Select by £100.00 and was promised that this would be refunded to me on more than one occasion, but this never happened. I made a formal complaint in writing to this company in early February but they never replied. I have called them on multiple occasions but they never return calls nor resolve complaints. I contacted Ofgem as I believe that they should be held to account for this mess as they made the decision to transfer customers to this terrible company. However, they have said it is nothing to do with them. I have finally received a bill from them today and to my absolute horror have discovered I had been placed on an extremely high tariff. Instead of paying £86.00 this has now increased to £149. As a result I am no longer in credit and actually owe them money. I am disgusted with the treatment I have received from this company and have never come accross a situation like this before. If you read Trust Pilot you can see the negative comments made from hundreds of customers. I suspect that this company won't last long. I intend to pursue this matter with the Ombudsman as this is the only option I have now
  • I have been trying to get a refund of the amount that they owe me since leaving Together Energy in February. The staff answering the calls are on the whole are rude. There are long waiting times to get through to an operator. I have spoken to somebody on four occasions, twice I was told they would send me the amount owed within 7-10 working days.... I received nothing. Another operator said she would phone back once she had found out what was happening...no phone call. The last call was to a very rude man who kept speaking over me, and wouldn't acknowledge that his company owed me any money at all, even though I had an email off them telling me an amount that they do owe me! I have now e-mailed them to lodge a complaint.

Just received final bill from TE which shows no mention of the credit I'd built up with OS. The email from TE states that this credit has been applied but pretty certain I can't see it. It also shows the tariff that I was put on included a £30 per fuel early exit fee, as I never requested to be switched to TE how can they show an early exit fee ?
